Before this he spent five years working along side Dr. Erika Harvey with the Solar Army in which he was an active member of.

Get ready for another spotlight on one of our First2 Scholars! Lance Beck serves as Vice President of the Fairmont First2 club. Lance first got involved by interning at the summer immersion program at Fairmont State in the summer of 2018. He then became a First2 Scholar.
His plan is to graduate and work along side a mentor as a medical examiner.
Currently in his second semester of college he is researching “The Concentration of Opioids in Poppyseeds.”

Introducing our president, Gabby Broski! She first got into First2 through Fairmont State’s summer immersion program. She is also a First2 Scholar and a Campus Lead Coordinator. Her favorite part of First2 is all of the connections that are made through this organization.
Gabby is a Forensic Science major and minoring in Chemistry and Biology. She has aspirations to get into medical school to become a forensic/research pathologist!
She is currently doing research on The DNA Analysis on Potential Black Market Remains.
