Tronc is corrupt and any business that doesn't give 100% of tips directly to their staff are stealing.

@Jam1Hospitality @FairHospitality This isn't about fighting people trying to help staff. This is about fighting the evil businesses facilitating tip theft, as well as calling out the businesses who condone these practices.

@Jam1Hospitality @FairHospitality Although they aren't anti-tronc, they massively disagree with its misuse and manipulation by tronc masters (even named one in particular last night) for their own financial benefit. In our eyes, anyone who fights for 100% tips to go to staff is on the right side of the argument.

Hospitality long fallen behind other sects when comes to good work prac. Most ppl work 70 hrs pwk, av pay £8.84(often 10% hrs unpaid), More on zero hrs, Unpaid trial shifts, Pressure to opt out of Working Time directive, Unfair tipping practices, Bad H&S, Fire &Rehire. Unionise👇

"Under the current law, unless tips are given in cash, the waiting staff who receive a tip are not guaranteed to receive all of it. Instead employers can keep a proportion of the tip for themselves or decide how it is distributed."

@pollysmythe It’s not just Pizza Express involved with tip theft . It’s all ukhospitality . Who have given the companies ownership of tips if they are left on card and or service charge . They are legality suppose to make consumers aware exactly how tips are distributed. I’m yet to see that
