Fabulous collaborative session with HF nurses, HF Consultant, Cardiac Physiologists, Hospice HF Nurse Lead. Valuable discussions on communication around deactivation and the pathway for patients living with ICDs, facilitated by the wonderful Dr Ed Presswood and @RebeccaMST
I am interested to know how people view or define ‘palliative’.
Do you base it on prognostic indicators such as they could die in the next 12 months or anyone with a life limiting illness?
@SteveChalke It’s got nothing to do with being gay or hiding it.
It’s about respecting the position that you hold, having integrity and making wise choices.
Safeguarding should be paramount.

The situation is real.
