I recently switched to the OPPO Find X9 after using the Galaxy S21 FE for ~4 years and here is my experience with the OPPO Find X9 :

• The UI feels ultra smooth
• Ofcourse the performance upgrade and battery backup are huge improvement for me 😊
• OPPO Find X9 doesn't have any heating issue but :

❌ If you're using the camera under direct sunlight in a hot weather then like any other phone this phone also heats up but the issue with this phone is :

• If you stay in area where network switching happens frequently and the device get hot due to extensive camera usage then the device has problem with network switching, in this condition when the device is hot you'll see that sometime the device is not switching network properly or you're getting very poor network speed , this is the very specific problem I've noticed with the Find X9 ❌

• In this condition you've to turn on and turn off Airplane mode so that the device again gives the proper data speed ✅

• Otherwise the network reception is very very good, I haven't faced any call drop issue and when the device temperature is normal or even the device is slightly warm then the network switching is very smooth, no issue except that one very specific situation ✅

• The best animation throughout the UI I've ever used , it is very good

• I'm not a gamer but my usage includes some heavy work like copying files, using Google meet for video call, maps , camera and opening multiple huge PDFs and the phone handle all these works very smoothly ✅ and with this usage I'm easily getting 9.5 hours+ of battery backup

• And to charge it from 1% to 100% the phone takes 1 hour 20 mins , for a 7000mAh+ battery I'll say it's ok

• Once you hold the device, immediately you'll feel that the device has a heft + plus metal frame which makes the device feel lot more premium and yes it's a premium device 👌But I'm absolutely disappointed that on a ₹75,000 phone, Oppo is budget centric Gorilla Gorilla 7i for display protection ❎

• This GG 7i is not something deal breaker for me and doesn't bother me as any glass can break but : Do use a good quality tempered glass for this phone because due to GG 7i the display can get scratched very easily

🔴 Also, for any phone with Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner please get a official tempered glass or a tempered glass from offline because many times the ultrasonic FS fails to work due to these tempered glass

• The display is very bright, absolutely no issue under direct sunlight and it also has high frequency PWM dimming which is very effective if you use phone under low light

• Initially, I thought I would miss "Extra Dim" as the Find X9 doesn't have this feature but even without it the brightness of the device can go so low that I don't miss that feature

• Samsung One UI has too many features and Color OS is not even close to One UI in terms of features ❌ these are the things that I miss on Color OS after switching from One UI :

❌ No Modes and Routines
❌ Samsung wallet is lot more convenient which no other brand have yet
❌ One hand operation+ is the one feature of One UI and I miss it a lot
✅ In terms of animation and fluidity the Color OS is way superior than One UI though

🔴 The Color OS has two very annoying bugs across most of it's devices :

1) If you long press and hold the home button, many times the Gemini doesn't activate

2) If you're using an app and you switch to another app and after sometimes once you go back to previous app and when you press the back button instead of just going back, the back button directly brings you to home screen

🔴 Oppo needs to fix these 2 issues‼️

• The three rear cameras are really very good, infact during complex HDR situation the three rear cameras perform very well ✅

• Also, the lens switching during videography is very very smooth on this phone 😍

• The front camera is good in most situations but when there is a complex HDR situation like : heavy light at the background and between the light and the subject there is an object in this condition the front camera performance is very poor , it botches both the light and the object, it cannot differentiate between the subject and the middle object, the front camera need improvement

So, 1) the front camera of the phone is not that good, 2) the phone has very slow, USB 2.0 port biggest con for a flagship phone‼️

And 3) I'm missing Samsung wallet and 4) one hand operation+ a lot which was present on the One UI‼️5) There is a problem with activating the Gemini using the home button

Except these five things this is a very solid device ✅ and if you're someone who is not switching to this from Samsung then 3) & 4) won't bother you‼️

But yes On the OPPO Find X9 OPPO need to fix these things :

🔴 HDR on the front camera
🔴 Activation of Gemini using Home button (basically point 5) , I think due to some background battery optimization this issue with Gemini activation is happening they just need to turn that off
🔴 The back button, many times directly brings to home screen, they need to fix this

Reasons for switching : My previous S21 FE was lagging a lot, also it got 30+ green lines

I was considering Galaxy S25+ and OPPO Find X9, so why I picked the OPPO Find X9 over Galaxy S25+ :

1) It's a more handy device than S25+, like my previous S21 FE

2) The battery backup on this one is way superior than S25+

3) The three rear camera on this one are better than S25+ until OPPO decides to downgrade it (well, Samsung also downgrades their camera, almost every brand does it)

4) 5-6K lower price

Pro tip :
• Don't buy a device for the hype or don't buy a phone just by seeing the brand

• Buy a device based on your usage and what you like and how much value the device is providing for the money that you pay

• Getting a phone is a big investment and it is something that you should use for long-term, atleast 4-5 years, so always decide carefully before purchasing, watch reviews and take suggestions if you need 😊
