Glad to be part of the Mega Rally against the drug menace held today in Kupwara in the presence of Honโble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha ji. Being a resident of Kupwara, it was encouraging to witness people from every section of society coming together for the collective mission of building a Drug-Free Kashmir.
The participation of representatives from different political affiliations, respected MLAs, youth, civil society members, and citizens reflected a strong sense of unity and social responsibility towards this important cause.
Such awareness initiatives, along with the ongoing crackdown against peddlers are significant steps towards safeguarding our future generations.

From Sopore to the international podium Nasir Aijaz Sofi has made Jammu & Kashmir and India proud.
A young talent from J&K, Nasir played his part in helping India secure a bronze medal on the international stage in China, proving that the youth of Kashmir are ready to shine far beyond borders.
What stands out even more is his mindset: โNot the End, But a Beginning.โ
That hunger for more, that dream for gold, is what makes champions different.
This is not just a medal.
It is a message talent from Sopore can rise, compete, and bring glory to India on the world stage.
Congratulations to Nasir Aijaz Sofi on this proud achievement. The journey has only begun, and the future looks even brighter.

THE GUARDIAN OF BANDIPORA @Faisalalidar official
They call him the โPadma Shri Coach,โ but his real legacy is the generation he helped save. Faisal Ali Dar is not just a martial arts coach, but a mentor who turned sport into hope for Kashmirโs youth.
The Profile:
โข Hometown: Bandipora
โข Role: Martial Arts Coach & Social Reformer
โข Achievement: First Kashmiri sportsperson to receive the Padma Shri
The Struggle:
He began with almost nothing no proper facilities, little support, and a bigger battle beyond sport itself. Faisal Ali Dar worked to pull young people away from drugs, despair, and hopelessness, while convincing families that discipline and sport could change lives.
Today, his academy stands as a space where champions are trained and futures are rebuilt.
โMy greatest medal is not the one on my chest, but the fire in the eyes of my students.โ
Today I began what I hope will be a meaningful chapter as Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, J&K.
My first day began on the snow slopes of Gulmarg, at the inauguration of the 6th Khelo India Winter Games, alongside Hon'ble LG Sh. Manoj Sinha and Hon'ble CM Sh. Omar Abdullah.
Over 400 athletes from 25 States raced these slopes today. Six consecutive years, Gulmarg has hosted this national event. It has earned its place as India's winter sports capital.
J&K's youth and sporting talent are extraordinary. I am here to serve them โ and to learn.
This was some first day.
