Bedsides are cute little furniture and I love them.
It small enough to let your design imagination run wild and big enough to showcase them.

Small enough to make a prototype, yet they communicate something.
It’s that small furniture that is easily overlooked but works as an accent piece to any bed frame. It’s that furniture that we put our little valuables that can get lost in a wardrobe.

An ugly bedside can reduce the beauty of the bedframe beside it and a unique bedside can upgrade the simplest bed.

Meet the Nme-Nme bedside
Nme-Nme means plenty activity in Igbo language, what we call “senrenre” in our everyday lingua.
There’s isn’t a lot of activity going on with this bedside but you will agree with me that there is small senrenre😂😂
Nme-Nme has three drawers, it’s 2ft tall, has a main colour (brown) and a subtle one (black)

The first order I got after my apprenticeship was from Jiji. It was an 8ft by 15” by 20” Tv stand. We talked on Jiji and moved to WhatsApp for about a week before he decided to make a deposit.

When he heard my voice on a call, he asked “are you a lady?” I replied that I am. He was unsure but decided to encourage me with his patronage.

I put my heart and soul into that piece (as I do with every piece I make) and I finished it in 3 days. I had just my screwing machine and hammer, so my husband (then fiancé) helped me carry the boards to a nearby furniture maker, I did my cutting and took it back to my apartment.
I noticed a measurement mistake and took it back to re-cut (a walking distance of 500 meters)

Finished it and delivered it to Mr Max, in fact, he came to pick it up himself, to be sure I did it😂. He studied the job, nodded in approval and asked, “na you do this thing?” I gave an affirmative reply.
He said “Continue, no drop hand o, you’re good”

It’s been 2 years and I never drop hand, instead, I dey carry hand up.
