@YoSoyRobertMera@HewittRincrast@thechurchsplit Permission ≠ causation
I can allow my kid to touch the hot stove so he learns a lesson. That doesn’t mean I put his hand there. God can allow things to happen and can use them as teachable moments. Doesn’t mean he made it happen.

God can permit and use evil without being its moral author.
God brought Job up, but the accuser proposed the test and carried it out.
Job 2:10 affirms God’s sovereignty, not that God caused the evil. Job didn’t know the heavenly conversation.
@jackrwilkie Hierarchy is everything. Just look at Jesus. The King of glory got down on His knees and washed His disciples’ feet. Clearly the lesson was, “Know your place, peasants.”
@godlywomanhood Interesting blanket statement… most women I know who divorced their husbands actually did it to protect their children. My mother included. I am grateful for the hard path she chose in order to protect myself and my siblings. She definitely was not putting herself first.
When I hear someone say “by faith alone,” I sometimes ask them to define what faith is. Often, they’re stumped and can’t give a cogent answer.
Although it includes the concepts of “believing” and “trusting,” if you study the Greek word for faith in the New Testament, it ultimately means living in committed allegiance to someone or something.
So “putting our faith in Christ” means far more than what we feel, think, or believe.
It’s also our loyalties …
And how we act in fidelity to them.
When I took the time to study this decades ago, it changed my whole theological framework.
It also finally resolved so many theological debates that revolve around oft-repeated slogans …
Without understanding the underlying words as Scripture actually meant them.
@BiblicalBeauty Tailoring & alterations. It’s really a dying trade but still needed. Interior painting-I worked for a female run interior painting company for a few years and most people comment women are in general cleaner and more attentive to detail than men. A couple off the top of my head.
