Many parents struggle with how to encourage their adult children and even grandchildren in their relationship with God. We hear this often in Bible Study groups. One tool that we have found to be very effective is texting. We send weekly group text messages (a thought for the week, Bible verse plus occasionally music or YouTube engagement) to our children and grandchildren to encourage their relationship with God. We keep it short! We find that they even encourage each other when they 👍 or ❤️ a particular text. We’ve been doing this for the last few years and, after feedback from others, decided to share these with a broader audience. We encourage you to copy, paste and text them to your own family members. We’ll be sharing one a week to the X community. Through prayer and planting these weekly seeds, God will use it all for His glory ✝️❤️🙏

Weekly text message for you to copy and text to your children, grandchildren and/or other loved ones:
Our verse to think about this week is one where God is speaking to the prophet Ezekiel.
Ezekiel 12:2 “Son of man, you are living among rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.”
Throughout the Old Testament God's people repeat a cycle from one generation to the next. They allow themselves to be influenced by culture and forget about God. They see no need for God, so God repeatedly has to correct them through whatever measure needed to turn them back. God uses struggles in our lives to turn us back to Him. That path back for us is through accepting and personally knowing Jesus Christ.
God, may we not be a rebellious people.
‘Some wounds can't be explained with words.
Some nights feel longer than they should, some tears fall where no one else can see. If your heart is hurting today, don't hide your pain from God. He sees every tear, hears every silent prayer, and understands every burden you carry’
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” ✝️
