Found our names in draft electoral roll of Maharashtra #SIR 2026.
Should have been a simple name search. Instead it is pathetic partwise PDF download and visual search.
When you are dealing with crores of ppl. simplicity should be the first thing.

Today Election commission has published the Draft Electoral roll of Maharashtra voters under the SIR.

A total of 2.07 cr voters have been deleted. It means they are ASDD
(Absent, shifted dead or duplicate )
And you are not eligible to vote !

If your name is missing from the list then you'll get a chance between 31 aug - 30 sep to get your name registered in the voting list. And all these complaints and applications will be processed till 29th October. And on 4th Nov the final voter list will be published. If your name is still missing then you won't get any chance to register.

Fill form no 6 if ur name is missing.
Fill form no 7 if someone's name who is no longer alive or who isn't eligible is present in the list.
Fill form no 8 if u have to change address or rectify any other thing.
You have only 1-2 months, otherwise you'll lose your right to vote. I checked my name is there

If you’re having trouble finding your name in Maharashtra’s new SIR draft electoral rolls, try this method:

1. 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭

Go to the Election Commission’s electoral search website and enter your EPIC number and state:

2. 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘕𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳

Once you find your name, note down your Part Number. Also note your Assembly Constituency, if you don’t already know it.

3. 𝘋𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘚𝘐𝘙 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘵 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭

Select your district and Assembly Constituency.

4. 𝘋𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘕𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳

Your Part Number may have changed in the new draft roll, so don’t search only for the exact same number.

For example, if your old Part Number was 179, download Parts 178, 179 and 180. If you still can’t find your name, try a few more parts before and after.

5. 𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘌𝘗𝘐𝘊 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳

Open the downloaded PDF files and use the search/find option to search your name or EPIC number.

I found my own name in Part 178, even though my previous Part Number was 179. So, your Part Number may have shifted forward or backward in the new draft roll.

In short:

Find old Part Number → Download nearby new Parts → Search your name/EPIC in the PDFs.

Also the consultation is not that costly as these chindi NRIs always claim to be. Most of the OTC drugs are available freely in grocery stores, but assholes want antibiotics for everything so that they end up in MDR infection in old age.

I'll tell about urology, Private consultation with experienced doctors costs $250 in NZ that's around 14k. Minimum wage in NZ is $23.95 per hour.
1.5 days of salary.
£200 in UK, that's around 25k. Minimum wage is UK is £12.75 per hour. 2 days of salary.

In India, experienced urologists in Mumbai charge ₹3k. Minimum daily wage is ₹400. 5 days of salary if you are employed.

Chindi NRIs want salaries of Western standards but expect the cost of services according to Indian standards.

Poverty is the biggest curse inflicted upon humanity. Samdish recently visited a remote government middle school in Jharkhand.

Talking about the students, the teachers said that 70% of the students live alone because their parents are working in factories in Tamil Nadu. These students cook for themselves, take care of their cattle, and then go to school.

Just to earn ₹20,000 a month, their parents have to leave their children at home and work in factories thousands of kilometres away.

The teachers have to take care of these children whenever they are in need. If a child doesn't come to school for two consecutive days, the teachers visit their home to find out whether they are safe and well.

And what is a teacher's salary? Even after having 20 years of experience, they earn just ₹20,000 a month, and even that salary is often delayed by the government.

No matter how much noise we make about becoming a $5 trillion economy, the fact remains that millions of people are still struggling today to earn a mere ₹10,000–₹20,000 a month.
