On May 12th, 2021, Reddit user u/AlexMaestro posted this four-panel comic to r/teenagers. It quickly became an exploitable meme format. The designs of the two characters are based on the Reddit mascot, you can see an antenna on top of the girl's head.

On February 23rd, 2020, John Oberg, an advocate for animal protection, shared a photo of him and another man posing in front of a KFC in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a Beyond Fried Chicken sign in the background. The photo was then traced over and shared on 4chan in May 2020.
This now iconic photo of Youtuber MatPat (left) and his friends was taken in June 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas, Texas. MatPat went on to cut himself out of the photo and use it to visually represent himself in his YouTube videos, where most would recognise it from.
