Yeah, he really should have been more considerate of the coaching fraternity and turned down this career move to become a first-time NBA Head Coach. Surely another such NBA Head Coaching opportunity was right around the corner.
@MoDakhil_NBA Terrible for coaches. I wish Micah didnt take on such a role. He’s setting the head coaching fraternity back by taking this silly contract
@big_business_ A reminder that Russ’s “instantly untradable” contract/extension ended up being traded four times, including once by the Wiz.
Each time effectively for positive value.
Conversations Jalen Brunson has entered:
- Greatest Knick of all time.
- Second-greatest clutch scorer of all time (behind only Michael Jordan).
- Third-greatest free agent signing of all time (behind 1996 Shaq and 2010 LeBron).
@followbl League tanking makes it tough to really gauge, but is there a franchise with a worse roster and a better record this season? 20 more Franz games gives Orlando ~4 to 6 more wins? And maybe an all-star? Fighting for home court in round one?
@HPbasketball Season-long tanking is the problem. Tanking out of the play-in late in the season is less bad than a strategic season-long tank. It would give the bad teams incentive to try to win later in the season.
Wilt Chamberlain now has the 2nd most blocks in an NBA season.
We never had any official block totals for Wilt. And now we do, just for one season, his last season, his age 36 season.
That’s pretty good for Wemby. But some players were secretly 137 years old as a rookie. Can we see the most total blocks in a player’s first 164 games, regardless of age?
NBA Most Blocks Before Age 23:
797 — Josh Smith (312 GP)
665 — Dwight Howard (348 GP)
653 — Shaquille O'Neal (219 GP)
621 — Anthony Davis (255 GP)
568 — Victor Wembanyama (164 GP)
