@DeryaTR_@OpenAI Much as I would love this to be true, I think it unlikely that it will lead directly to a cure for cancer, or enormous advances in "materials research, energy production and drug discovery." See "fallacy of composition."
@CraigAccused@iontecs_pemf@War_Radar2 Taking out the HMS Prince of Wales or Queen Elizabeth Strike Groups would not be an easy or quick affair, especially not if they're backed by other European NATO naval power. The US would almost certainly win, but it would incur devastating losses itself to get there.
@rosscoulthart@AstronomyMag Meanwhile, Dan Farah hit the mainstream last night for the opening 15 minutes of 'Real Time with Bill Maher' (HBO). This ought to attract a lot of mainstream curiosity...
@rosscoulthart So, two problems: 1) No thus far fully corroborated chain of custody for the video; 2) The objects could be anythingโeven if it's an inbound Hellfire missile, the target could still be anything; it doesn't have to be NHI. ๐คท
@RMBee Great points, Rob. None of this seems thought through. The US film industry runs a trade surplus and is a top export. A 100% tariff on foreign production could spark retaliation, damaging the economy and America's global cultural influence.
@JustineBateman This is a race to the bottom and they will fail spectacularly. In addition to all the systemic technical problems that remain unresolved with GenAI (e.g. hallucinations, lack of accurate repeatability, etc.), audience acceptance will crater.
@rosscoulthart@faa Shouldn't be too hard to get answers if Elon and his 23-year-old acolytes are able to just waltz into the Dept. of Energy and get access to everything they want >
