But as Europe’s political class moves to clean up its mess and address its shame concerning ties with the convicted sex offender, it’s inadvertently highlighting something else — the comparative lack of accountability in the U.S.
I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.
They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.
They are a right-wing organization that undermines democracy. They have zero tolerance for any diversity of thought from their line, and pressure elected officials to increasingly place themselves at odds with our responsibility to represent the electorate and the views of the majority of Americans, who find the genocide in Gaza an appalling affront to American values and do not want to see US taxpayer funded weapons used to perpetuate it.
AIPAC also knows this. That’s why none of their political ads discuss their actual issue at all and why they use vaguely named Super PACs so people don’t connect them with their own stated political mission and intent.
All 3 extended edition versions of ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS’ trilogy will be re-released in theaters in January for the trilogy’s 25th anniversary.

Trump said last year that he would focus on deporting immigrants who were violent criminals. But a study of arrests in major operations in DC, LA, Illinois and Massachusetts shows that the vast majority of those swept up by ICE have no criminal record.

🚨#BREAKING: The Trump administration has removed Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth from the list of free-entry days for National Park Service sites replacing them with a free admission day on Donald Trump’s birthday, June 14, which also happens to be Flag Day.
Windowless, unventilated cells shared by 3-4 detainees; exercise time sometimes as low as 5 minutes every other day; violent treatment including beatings, shackling, dogs with muzzles.
Dozens of Palestinians from Gaza are being held underground in the Rakefet wing of the Israel Prison Service complex in Ramla, with no access to daylight. Many of the detainees, the Guardian reported earlier, appear to be civilians (e.g., a nurse, a teenage food seller) who were detained without formal charge or trial.
“Torture in Israel is not outlawed,” Al Jazeera’s Nour Odeh reports.
🚨 REPORT: US is pushing for a UN Security Council vote on Monday for its Gaza resolution, the Times of Israel reports.
The current ceasefire is stuck in its first phase because negotiations between U.S. and Israel, and U.S. and the international community, over Gaza’s future governance have not advanced. Israeli officials told TOI that Washington has struggled to recruit countries willing to take part in a force that would actually dismantle Hamas’s military, leading US officials to float “interim solutions” that Israel is unwilling to go along with.
One option the Trump administration is considering is dropping the stage of its Gaza plan that requires a stabilization force to disarm Hamas if it can’t get support at the UN for its current plan, so reconstruction can begin immediately — an idea that has reportedly pushed talks with Israel into a deadlock, Times of Israel reported citing Israeli Channel 13.
Israel insists “there can be no rehabilitation before demilitarization,” according to a security official. This has been evident in Israel’s deliberate blocking of shelter and other essential humanitarian aid into Gaza despite the terms agreed under the ceasefire. Thousands of displaced families were flooded after the rains this weekend.
The US will now possibly vote on a UN Security Council resolution on Monday that embeds Trump’s 20-point plan and authorizes a temporary International Stabilization Force through 2027. Several countries have signaled willingness to send troops but want Security Council backing. Israeli media say Israel has already begun early preparations for thousands of foreign soldiers to enter Gaza if the resolution passes.
Meanwhile, Russia circulated a competing draft on Friday that does not endorse Trump’s framework and does not authorize a force, instead asking the UN secretary-general to study and offer options on what a deployment might look like. Moscow’s version also omits any mention of Trump’s colonialist-style Board of Peace.
In a two and a half hour debate with @ComicDaveSmith, podcaster @KonstantinKisin returns 3–4 times to claims of rape and mass rapes on October 7 as a justification for Israel’s response.
Today the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls at the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Reem Alsalem, stated that “no independent investigation has found that rape took place on October 7.”
There is no independent forensic evidence and no verified documentation from any neutral inquiry confirming the allegations of rape. Any existing claims rely entirely on evidence Israel has not allowed outside investigators to verify.
Furthermore, in January 2025, Moran Gez, the Israeli prosecutor tasked with investigating crimes that occurred on October 7, admitted that despite many alleged sexual-offenses in the media tied to that day, her office has “no complainants.”
So, to be clear: there is a prosecutorial admission that no victims have been identified of sexual assault from October 7.
This is AMAZING!
Nothing but No Kings Day patriotic protesters as far as the eye can see in Washington DC, marching peacefully.
This is what patriotism looks like!

Chris Murphy: " House Republicans have been on an unplanned vacation from D.C. for 5 weeks. There's a couple reasons for that. First, they're trying to cover up for rich billionaire pedophiles. Second, because Trump does think that he's a king." #NoKings
More footage of the massacre in Pakistan, here’s a 90 second video where the shooting never stops, yet the Palestinian flag they seem to be aiming at keeps waving (gallantly, you could say)
