Why does legacy media have to be so adversarial toward citizens?
The media is supposed to hold governments and other powerful institutions accountable. Instead, it seems to have set its sights on the public itself.
Citizens who ask questions, raise concerns, challenge official narratives, or seek accountability are dismissed, disparaged, and portrayed negatively rather than recognized as active participants in a healthy democracy. There is something seriously wrong when the media treats engaged citizens as a threat instead of recognizing them as the people democracy is meant to serve.
And importantly, the public funds the media—not the government! Too many, especially those in legacy media, seem to forget that. Citizens are not the enemy. They are the people these institutions are supposed to serve, and they certainly are the ones funding them.
A free and independent media plays a vital role in a democracy, but that role is not to shield those in power from scrutiny. It is to ensure that power is exercised responsibly, transparently, and in the public interest.
Imagine if legacy media spent more time facilitating honest discussions about the serious issues in Canada and less time chasing cheap gotcha moments, partisan narratives, and public disparagement.
We would all be better off.
But perhaps that is not the goal. 🤔
Some might remember back in May, I posted a video of a #Coyote who caught the groundhog that had been living under my lower deck. Well, another #groundhog has taken up residence in the same spot, sits out on the deck and takes some of the food I put out for the Chipmunk.

Alyson Hannigan pays tribute to her "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" co-star Anthony Head:
“This cut is so deep I fear it can never heal. Oh Tonal…I am so grateful to have had you in my life! I want to say a million wonderful things about you and yet I can’t seem to find the words that would do you justice. I love you so much and will miss you forever. RIP."

13-year-old Jacob Clynick died less than 3 days after his second Pfizer COVID shot. 💉
He had no known health problems. No medications.
Initial autopsy showed an enlarged heart with fluid around it.
His aunt shared the devastation: their family is completely broken.
How many stories like this do we need before we stop pretending these shots are harmless?
Prayers for Jacob’s family. This is beyond tragic.
