@lifeisfornow@LiosGlas49@DavQuinn No, they're not Polly. The stats you think show it make zero adjustment for birth rates, increased life expectancy. there's a reason every statistician and actuary in the country disagrees with that moronic accountant in Kilkenny. He's being held up like an expert. Embarrassing
@GaelForceMedia Whilst also ignoring increasing life expectancy and historic birth rates. Y'all are listening to an idiot masquerading as an expert and aren't smart enough to know better. We've had no excess deaths since 2022! Having more deaths is because we'd a baby boom in the 40s!!
@GaelForceMedia Lads, your accountant is wrong. Like, definitively. He's not a statistician and any competent one or actuary can point out two absolutely blatant flaws in his analysis. Imagine calculating expected deaths based on a rate from 8 years earlier...
@OkayThenNews@Rothbard1776 In your model, Expected deaths literally decrease for 2 years and are effectively flat for 4 years. How in god's green earth does anyone use such blatantly false expected deaths to create a variance to actual deaths and then claim it's evidence of excess deaths.
@OkayThenNews@Rothbard1776 Hey chief, I took at look at your excess deaths claim in Oz. Specifically the Northern Territories. I know you're not a statistician, but can you ask a question of the lads that published the paper with you for me? 2010-2018, deaths increased 15%.
@OkayThenNews I think I pointed it out on the substack post but have you taken the time to look at deaths per year in NT, growing 15% from 2011-19 and the expected deaths which drives the calculation of excess is on four years where you say they were expected to decrease? Seems wrong, no?
@JoeDunagaill@Broken_Ireland@SharonMcgoldri6 There's no excess deaths since late 2022. I swear if a lad with no statistical knowledge says there's 25,000 excess deaths, you'll believe him just because he made a substack. Christ.
@Jklunden You might wanna check your sources on those excess deaths. Anyone can make a sub stack and fail to understand statistics, that's not a good reason to believe them over the thousands of experts in the country able to demonstrate that we've not had any excess deaths since 2022.
@ToxicWatch24141@NewstalkFM If it helps, you've nothing to worry about. That excess deaths calculation wouldn't get a passing grade for a second maths student tasked with calculating excess deaths. A nonsense analysis that ignores population changes and life expectancy growth. Factored in, no excess at all.
@darc69730@mullallyelaine Probably has something to do with smaller places not having a bunch of idle doctors and consultants and specialists waiting around for a hospital to be built away from urban centres.
@EvanEdinger The crucial point is that the UK rate being close to the US is a source of national shame in the UK warranting attention for just 0.36 per 100k. UK gun deaths are about the same but in the US, those are like 40 times higher so get all the oxygen in the US.
@EvanEdinger Not sure if you'll see my YouTube comment on the same but two things. First, great video. Second, you mention the US cliche claim about the UK and knife crime but it's worth noting, the likelihood of dying from a stabbing is higher in the US than in the UK (0.41 Vs 0.36 per 100k)
@tubbitickles@CountryBarby24 Saying that with an Israeli flag on your name is kinda top tier troll stuff. I'm almost impressed you wrote it when even you must be shaking laughing at the irony of it. Anywho, you and I and everyone else knows nothing of the shooters motives. You're projecting.
@SarahLongwell25@willsommer@BulwarkOnline 50% of Americans don't care about constitutional crises, corruption, rights trampling etc. they voted for salacious trash - give them what they want. Dems need to get on every show and say it out loud, "Trump must have done something with a kid on that island",the way he's hiding
@SarahLongwell25@willsommer@BulwarkOnline Yesterday Trump said he "fortunately" never went to Epstein's island... In his much brain, he's hiding so much that his words are really struggling and he's going to declare provable lies that can Watergate him.
I believe there's a blind man stranded in Monastrevin station now and no way of getting to Kildare/Athy for the correct connection. Could you get the next train to stop if there's a blind man stranded on the platform please!
@IrishRail need your help urgently. 7.42am Portarlington to Heuston train. A blind man in the first carriage got off in Monastrevin, he said he was getting the Waterford train. There hadn't been any announcement about the station. I think he wanted Kildare!
@SeanDubIreland Just posted a correction, zero under 15 deaths. Those shootings were all 15-19yo.
On a global perspective, John Green did a decent breakdown of child mortality rates not too long ago, feel free to have a watch.
