@cauldrononfire@celedriel Right, any glimmers of remorse or goodness he appeared to have as Halbrand can be reinterpreted as deceit after you see S2. Maybe how he wanted to just be a blacksmith on Numenor was a glimpse of genuine redemption-seeking?
@lotrbookquotes It just occurred to me looking at this quote again, that the Sword that was broken was not in Imladris, it was with Aragorn, who showed it to the hobbits in Bree.
@MatchroomPool I think the commentator thought that Wiktor conceded the game early, and so he said something about Wiktor’s petulance. But he didn’t concede early, he lost.
@transmairon Yeah it’s confusing in the texts as well - Sauron wants to give the rings to elves so he can control them with the one ring, but he goes to war to get them back from the elves so they can’t have them anymore??
@teawithtrop@Alayanabeth@buffyfan145 The temptation for her to go to Mordor for the Last Alliance in S5 will be strong. I’m looking forward to seeing her make that decision - and I hope the showrunners resist the temptation to send her there as well!
