A brief statement regarding this twitter account and how it will (for now) no longer be in active use.
TL;DR: This twitter account will no longer affiliate itself with the Fallout: Ashfall mod project due to the ongoing "controversy" surrounding the mod being "woke".
People are dunking on this guy en masse because he had a crash out on me for not wanting to interview him on my YouTube channel or play his mod projects that he was kicked out of for doing no work, any mod he claims to work for is false.
Be careful out there. No idea why people are going after people for being "Fallout: Nuevo Mexico defenders" since that mod has been cancelled for months, but it's not surprising.
Be vigilant for suspicious links or DMs or friend requests from strangers.
Today we celebrate the 22nd birthday of the game that put us on the map, the game that gave a middle finger to pearl clutchers and the game that taught people to have no regrets.
22 years of fun, piss and no regrets.
Happy birthday POSTAL 2.
@SadMike5 Some people only play video games because they want to reinforce their fringe esoteric ideologies. People like this see groups like Caesar's Legion and unironically believe that groups like the Legion are the "good guys" of Fallout. Anything that conflicts with this they attack.
No wonder I got this account for free, every time I check the DM's it's always something insane. According to twitter this guy spammed this 87 times before giving up.
New Vegas modders need a hobby. There's no way getting this worked up over a Fallout mod is healthy.
@CosmicWandere11 There isn't evidence for that or the idea that anyone on Nuevo Mexico was deported by ICE. Those rumors were already debunked by Zapshock on the Nuevo Mexico discord server.
@CosmicWandere11 There's a lot of moral panic around LGBT people and "wokeness" in the FNV modding community. These are the same people who are mad about Nuevo Mexico for whatever reason.
As a quick reminder: No, nobody involved with Fallout: Nuevo Mexico was deported by ICE and there's no evidence that the Nuevo Mexico mod was ever intended to be a "catalyst for a white genocide".
Don't believe every insane rumor someone tells you about Nuevo Mexico.
@McJeetus13 I hope so, at least because it sounds like it could be the modding version of Lily Orchard's "writing tips" list, except written by some of the most vitriolic and small-minded idiots the New Vegas community has to offer.
It's dumb that the response to Fallout Nuevo Mexico's cancellation is to pivot into racially-charged rhetoric and purity-testing modders to make sure they're not "woke".
To anyone working on that "modders code of ethical creativity": you desperately need a new hobby.
Fallout: Nuevo Mexico was cancelled earlier this week, and since then, the lead dev has been targeted with racist abuse online. https://t.co/k3eKiTbHz7
The paranoia around "Urias" or other mysterious outside forces trying to break into the New Vegas modding community to try and make Fallout mods like nuevo mexico "woke" or "political" has no basis in reality.
It's a shame this community repaid their time and effort with this.
For anyone who has not seen @FalloutNuevoMex's statement on the baseless rumors and allegations made against it, you can read it here.
No one involved with Nuevo Mexico was deported by ICE. Those claims were made to spark drama by known bad actors in the community.
