@CatSE___ApeX___ still trying to pin down clear criteria for when unfurling occurs. For now, taking the unfurling time to be when the satellite’s orbit abruptly starts shrinking more rapidly than before during short duration. Would be interested to hear whether the dates for BB1-5 seem reasonable
@Alabbar94 molecular diffusion is negligible on the relevant spatial and temporal scales. Coastal currents, typically on the order of several tens of centimeters per second, dominate horizontal transport and far exceed the contribution of diffusion in this context.
