A man is a man, even if effeminate. A woman is a woman, even if masculine. Celebrate difference, celebrate true diversity. Stop pushing round pegs into square holes. Be yourself, without surgery, without pharmaceuticals. Be free. #SexNotGender
@BlueBoxDave Are you policing who can become "trans" then? You're saying if you have been an athlete in a sport (say that American swimmer or the Olympic weightlifter or that hockey player or the rugby one) you cannot switch to the women's code? You haven't thought this through, have you?
@Jonnywsbell "[0:47] I explained it to myself as this weird kink, right, like oh, this is just this weird kink I like to do" <- when people say something out loud, we should listen to them. Not the rationalisations the poor partner came up with afterwards.
@EnesFreedom@WNBA Disgraceful. You are just pretending you want to cheat at sport, in order to make fun of people who genuinely want to cheat at sport.
@hughlaurie@jan_murray Your vodka bottle is leading you astray, Hugh. The issue is not that "natural variation" selects athletes (it does). The issue is whether players from outside the exact category the league was set up for (female biologies) are eligible to play.

@KirstiMiller30 Why not just have a simple cheek swab for SRY? Only needs to be done once per lifetime. Then the board would know that all players were female, the specific category that the league was set up for.
My name is Ella, I'm 17 years old.
I do long jump. I play volleyball. I go to school in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
When my school allowed a biological male into the girls' restroom without telling parents —
I went to the school board.
With my name attached.
In my own town.
I got bullied for it. Harassed online. Even some of my own teachers came after me.
I'm still here.
Because here's what I know:
The net in women's volleyball is set nearly a foot lower for a reason.
A biological male can hit a ball across that net at force that could seriously injure a girl.
And in track — all it takes is three biological males entering the girls' category
and not a single girl in this state stands on a podium.
I didn't speak up because it was easy.
I spoke up because somebody had to.
The Supreme Court is about to answer the question every girl in America is asking.
We're ready.

@salltweets You did expose them, Sall. They could never have published your piece because it said everything that is false about the transwomen-are-women argument. You've achieved much more through this exercise. Thank you.
It feels like there’s been a shift today.
💥 This morning, @The_Nationals MP Alison Penfold introduced a bill to amend the Sex Discrimination Act and restore sex-based rights and protections for women and girls.
💥 Her speech was excellent, and unlike similar bills, hers was not stopped in its tracks.
💥 Then, at a press conference, she and Senator @mattjcan stood shoulder to shoulder with @salltweets - THE WOMAN who represents every woman and girl who has been vilified, punished or harmed as a result of the lie that men can be women.
And Sall of course, was her usual brilliant self 👇
📣Every federal politician must work together to GET THIS DONE: https://t.co/R2K4FyE9D0

@Mon4Kooyong, it's not complicated.
Women's single-sex spaces - refuges, prisons, change rooms, sports - exist because of biological sex, not gender identity. These aren't abstract legal concepts. They are protections built on the very real vulnerabilities that come with being female: differences in height, strength, and the ability to bear children.
You've raised no concerns about the women being housed with male offenders - including those allegedly assaulted.
You've said nothing about the women and girls injured, or who missed out on places, due to the inclusion of trans-identifying males in female sport.
Your post sends a clear message to those women and girls: what they have suffered doesn't matter, and the rights of males identifying as women come first.
This is exactly why we need cross-party support to fix the Sex Discrimination Act - to ensure it protects everyone, without erasing the sex-based rights women have fought for and depend on.

@dfat@EqualRightsC@MarkDreyfusKCMP Australia is a world wide laughing stock because our government is so ideologically captured. You are dangerous (to women and children) and embarrassing @dfat
At a debate over "trans women" at UC Berkeley, a molecular geneticist said:
"Women have internalized misogyny to the point where the man's comfort takes precedence over the woman's safety.
This is the most insane thing that has happened in my life, that women are a feeling now."
@Kate3015 It’s so disappointing @DavidPocock has blocked these bills, but it’s always good to know when a seemingly intelligent and decent politician is a misogynist and safeguarding failure behind the mask.
STATEMENT BY @AngusTaylorMP
Yesterday the Full Federal Court confirmed that Australian law does not properly protect single sex spaces for women and girls. Most Australians would find that hard to believe. A coalition government I lead will fix this. We will amend the Sex Discrimination Act to ensure that women and girls (and men and boys) have protections based on biological sex.
We will define biological sex in the Act. Male or female. The sex you are born. And we will protect single-sex spaces across Australian life.
This is not radical. It is common sense.
Let me be clear about what this is not. This is not about targeting transgender Australians. Every protection they currently have remains. We are not removing a single protection from anyone. But we are recognising something that should never have been in doubt: biological sex is real, it matters, and women and girls deserve spaces where it is respected.
This will be a first-term priority.
The Prime Minister now has a simple question to answer. Does he believe women and girls deserve protections based on biological sex?
With @LiberalAus and @OneNationAus both promising to reinstate sex in the Sex Discrimination Act the issue of women’s sex based rights has (finally) gone mainstream in Australia.
The timing of the Liberals announcement is confirmation of the suspicion many of us had that politicians expected @salltweets to carry the burden of challenging the SDA alone as a private citizen, so they didn’t have to get their rainbow donors offside. It’s only now that she failed to overturn this madness that the Libs are realising they have to step in.
It was an unfair burden for Sall to carry, yet it’s because of her persistence and tenacity that this issue is now a leading issue heading in to both the Victorian state election and the federal election in 2028. Sall (and all the TERFs who amplified her) should be very proud that persistence against insurmountable odds is finally paying off.
Today’s Tickle v Giggle decision confirms it:
Women-only spaces are not protected under the current law.
That is wrong.
The law must change.
Common sense must prevail.
@GeorgeRSimms "we don’t really understand what makes people good"
So there should be no female category? You say don't know that being male = advantage (unlike almost every other sport).
Then speak up. Call for the end of the female category in darts. I dare you.
