FAMSA SCOMER, in partnership with AFREDAC, conducted a Data Analysis Training for Scientific Research and Publication from October 17 to December 12, 2024. Over the course of the training, essential skills were gained in transforming raw data into impactful research publications
The event featured Dr. Duncan Gathungu, a public health data scientist,
Dr Aashna Uppal, an epidemiologist and PhD candidate at the University of Oxford, Dr Frank M. Kagoro, a spatial epidemiologist and public health expert and Mr Kwaku Duah, a nurse and computer programmer.
We are grateful to @LecturioMedical for enhancing medical education in Africa by partnering and sponsoring this competition. We look forward to further collaboration.

Overall, the workshop successfully enhanced the participants’ knowledge and preparedness for handling emergencies. We extend our gratitude to the Medical Women’s Association for their collaboration and to all attendees for their active participation.
FAMSA SCOMER held a physical First Aid and Emergency Training on 5th October 2024 in collaboration with Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State chapter. Participants were equipped with essential life-saving skills for critical situations.
Dr. Abdulhammed Babatunde @hopeyemibabz spoke on the Art of Publication of Research findings and taught us the best ways in which to go about it, equipping our participants with skill in the same.
The FAMSA SCOMER Research Training Program, hosted by SCOMER CHAIRPERSON Adebayo Falola @bayo_falola, was conducted successfully, with participants from within and beyond Africa.
