@abc13houston Update, I have Covid and pneumonia. I'm currently on oxygen 🥺

[Maggs @fan1o1]

@abc13houston I have had Covid symptoms since Sunday and have been unable to get tested. I am without power since 5am Monday. This is unacceptable!!

[Rich O'Toole @RichOToole]

Houston is a smelly city right now. I don’t think anyone has showered in the last 3 days.

[Julián Castro @JulianCastro]

This is @GregAbbott_TX’s Texas.

[Chef José Andrés 🕊️🥘🍳 @chefjoseandres]

This are some of sites @WCKitchen team has been feeding;tomorrow we will update more sites and a map of other cities like Dallas, San Antonio, Austin etc were we have active teams already...many other grass root organizations etc helping too! Proud of all of them.. #ChefsForTexas

[David Shuster @DavidShuster]

Just confirmed @SenTedCruz and his family flew to Cancun tonight for a few days at a resort they've visited before. Cruz seems to believe there isn't much for him to do in Texas for the millions of fellow Texans who remain without electricity/water and are literally freezing.

[Shannon Watts @shannonrwatts]

Ted Cruz on a plane to vacation in Mexico during a pandemic and a state of emergency in Texas.👌

[Gene Wu @GeneforTexas]

Guess which US Senator from Texas flew to Cancun while the state was freezing to death and having to boil water?

[Liddle’ Savage @littledeekay]

Pretty sure @BetoORourke would have handled this better.

[Alan! @o2bnobx.bsky.social on Bluesky @o2bnobx]

You guys do realize that Rick Perry, the guy who presided over the deregulation of the Texas power grid in 2002 ran our entire Department of Energy under Trump, right?

[Gene Wu @GeneforTexas]

Hey y'all. Just like after Harvey and COVID19...

The Asian groceries are well stocked even if HEB and others are running low on stuff. Do yourself a favor and try it.

You may not know what everything is, but broccoli, eggs, and beer are basically the same everywhere.

[MJ Hegar @mjhegar]

We have got to start electing people with ACTUAL crisis mngmt & leadership experience instead of the richest lawyer or who tells the scariest lies.

I won’t soon forget these last few days without power trying to keep my kids fed, warm, and calm. My ❤️ is with those worse off.

[Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong @FBC_Judge]

The nation needs to know what is happening in Texas:

➡️ Seniors in freezing temps for days
➡️ We're melting snow for water
➡️ Hospitals are struggling
➡️ EMS agencies are at capacity
➡️ Pop up shelters are being put up
⏳ There is no ETA for normalcy in sight

[Dan Rather @DanRather]

Yep. They seem to be working. Who could have guessed?

[Luke Warford 🚂 @LukeWarfordTX]

56 hours (and counting) without power.

44 degrees inside.

And so many Texans dealing with so much worse.

Where TF is @GregAbbott_TX?

#AbbottFailedTexas

Again.

[Dan Rather @DanRather]

Apparently America can put a man on the moon but Texas can't keep the lights on. Houston, we have a problem.

[Dan Rather @DanRather]

Blaming the Texas power outages on things like the "Green New Deal" is like... is like... is like... Sorry folks, I don't have a folksy analogy. It's just plain dishonest, stupid, and dangerous. We need solutions based on science not sophistry.

[Zyra ❄️ @TheeZyraa]

WE CANT PISS! WE CANT SHIT! WE CANT GET WARM! WE CANT COOK! WE CANT SHOWER! WE CANT CHARGE OUR PHONE! WE CANT GET GASOLINE! EVERY STORE IS CLOSED! AT NIGHT THERE’S A BLACK OUT! HOUSTON WE HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM ‼️ THIS IS A REAL LIFE CRISIS 🙏🏾

We’ve heard reports of outrageous prices on necessary items like food, water and housing. We will not tolerate price gouging. Report gouging at https://t.co/ainGTAAjMn or text 346-354-7459. Violators can face fines of up to $250K. County Attorney @CDMenefee leads this effort.
