2 problems I noticed when voting in Florida yesterday. Why aren’t republicans concerned?:
1 - They require you to sign your signature with your finger on a tablet. That signature can be used to throw out your vote if it doesn’t match the signature they have on file, which you signed with a pen.
2 - They require you to vote via paper ballot, using a pencil to fill in the bubble next to your choice. You then run your ballot through a machine that counts the votes, but you don’t get to see if the machine read your choices correctly.
Shouldn’t republicans who care about “election security” be concerned with this?
It’s horrific! Footage has been released online showing a Russian ballistic missile—equipped with a cluster munition warhead—striking Kyiv last night.
The Russians are using banned cluster munitions with the intent to kill as many civilians as possible.
Families in Surrey are working hard and still feeling the squeeze. That’s why we’re taking on big oil to bring gas down by up to 30 cents a litre, and reining in the grocery giants’ profits on basics like milk, butter and chicken.
This is a moment for Canada to stand on its own two feet, and Surrey is going to help lead the way. From the Roberts Bank port to the Massey Tunnel, we’re getting the big projects done. Let’s keep building B.C. strong.
Tom Mulcair: "I don't think that Danielle Smith should be allowed to pose herself as some sort of anti-separatist hero. She's the one who set this thing in motion, and I think that she should be answerable for it."
Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military grade version of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, a decision that sparked panic in Kyiv, confusion inside the Trump administration and the deaths of nine Ukrainian citizens, including two women and a baby. 🤬 https://t.co/a52uI1UNyn
In Kharkiv today, russia struck an ordinary commuter train.
Killing kids, striking markets, Killing dogs, burning trains - everything is possible if you are a great "humanitarian"
Zelenskyy on Trump: As president, one must conduct oneself accordingly; one must act with prudence and diplomacy. But one cannot simply say, "Well, sorry, it’s just Putin—a big country. Let’s just forget everything, forgive everything, and somehow go back to buying and selling gas, diesel, or whatever else."
Further statements from the Ukrainian president:
Those responsible for the suffering in Ukraine must be punished. At the very least, we must embark on a path that leads precisely to that.
Forgiveness is impossible.
I said to Trump: "Fine—if you can’t get Putin to end the war and reach an energy agreement, then give me anti-aircraft missiles. I won’t use them against just anyone; I will use them to protect our energy sector." So, in what way am I being unreasonable? In what respect? I asked Trump: "Give us missiles." And not for free—mind you, not even for free. The Europeans are funding it.
The tone Trump uses when he speaks about me—that is the exact tone he should be using toward Putin.
Congress voted for tough sanctions. Trump has the authority to implement them. I don’t know why he isn’t doing so.
When Trump says we need to find a compromise—believe me: a ceasefire and the commencement of negotiations would already be a massive compromise. This hatred doesn’t just vanish. The Ukrainians need time, and they need justice in the face of the crimes committed by the Russians.
BC Conservative Sheldon Clare claimed residential schools created “opportunities” for Indigenous children and challenged the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s findings.
In September, he wrote that “there’s a good number that need hanging” in a group chat. #bcpoli#cdnpoli
If the BC Cons win the election Saturday, we still won’t know who the premier will be eventually. Doerkson will probably be pushed out by a far right element of his party. You may be voting for Doerkson but even he can’t guarantee he’ll be our premier. Unacceptable and scary.
Respectfully, you stopped sounding like a man of God years ago. Around the time you decided to sell your soul to Donald Trump, the man who goes against every single one of Jesus’s teachings. You best pray for forgiveness.
Today, we are announcing that a re-elected BC NDP government will protect you from gouging and unfair pricing. We’ll ban ticket scalping and prohibit predatory algorithmic pricing. We’ll expand the power of Consumer Protection BC, introduce right to repair legislation and restrict the non-compete clauses that hold workers back.
Tom Muclair and many politicians are calling Danielle Smith a liar & a culprit of Separation:
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is like the arsonist who tries to play the hero because they helped put out the flames of a fire that they started.
She set things in motion towards the potential breakup of Canada, then fought against her own referendum question. She doesn't deserve any credit.
That goes to the good people of Alberta, who expressed their strong attachment to Canada in the clearest possible terms.
With Smith’s alignment with Trump and her chumminess with so many Separatists, it’s hard to believe that her personal intentions weren’t to have Alberta separate.

"Underage girls testing positive for pregnancy at detention centers."
Let me fix that for you.
“ICE officers are raping little girls in detention centers.”
There you go.
If you vote for BC Conservatives because you want "change"
Or cuz you're in a bad mood about the #bcelxn
You'll be in for a nasty surprise when your Car Insurance rates skyrocket
Stick with David Eby & the BC NDP. They'll freeze #ICBC rates for another 3 years

I’ve seen a face like this before, many, many years ago. On a man who used to physically abuse me. I know this face. I know and still remember this twisted, controlling, angry, nasty, contorted fucking face. I know it very well.
