i am having so much funnnn painting. so excited to get home to all my art supplies (but also i think it’s been really good for me to get into it again with very limited resources)
@ScAr_wlvrne@djtyyjo agreed on the first part but the preschool teacher is way worse than the child. who in their right mind only gives the choo choo one chugga!! even numbers will always win but out of odd ones, no amount is worse than just the one
@booksaremagic23@ohJuliatweets me too, but i’m not believing ai generated shit and seem to think more critically about what i come across online than my gen x-boomer cusp mother (also i believe that much screen time is bad for all of us. but at least younger gens aren’t hypocritical complaining about it)
@AllayBoyFinn@QueerlyAutistic i can and will eat things i don’t like, sometimes even things i dislike, but there is a point where it is a genuine sensory issue and those things i physically cannot eat.
@AllayBoyFinn@QueerlyAutistic literally this. i have next to no issues with food now (i did when i was younger) but this is still what it’s like with the few things i do have issues with. and there are plenty of other things i just don’t like, or even dislike, in a ‘normal’ way - that is v different.
I need people to understand that when autistic people have restrictive issues around food, there is no such thing as 'well, if they're hungry enough, they'll eat it eventually'.
if anyone ever asks me for nudes, god forbid, they are getting them the old fashioned way. i cannot believe how well this went and it’s only the beginning
I love how a big point is being made of lipreading being only part of the jigsaw of what is said and not just some magic way to immediately understand - this shows why you ensure deaf and disabled creators are involved in telling these stories #CodeOfSilence
“No. I don’t want to be hearing. I just want them to be a bit deaf”
THAT is a great line.
I’m going to forgive any flaws / ridiculousness in the script.
This really is driving things home.

i’ve said it before but BSL really should be a part of the curriculum and watching code of silence just really cements that fact. we can pick from a variety of languages when we get to GCSES, why isn’t BSL an option? or just generally placed in there. each country’s version, too!
@paintedhen infighting is the solidarity killer. the voice that says 'people like that are why bigots hates us' needs to be shut down, because bigots never need a reason or example behind their hatred, and all that voice does is try to turn you against someone targeted by the same foes.
