When I was in second grade, my school allowed a man to put on a yo-yo show in the gym. Every kid loved it and subsequently bought yo-yos. In hindsight, I can’t believe that my school allowed a LITERAL CON ARTIST into my school and trick kids into buying his $20 yo-yos.

@AGEngineer101 @charliekirk11 It’s emphasized them more but Charlie Kirk has been a bozo since the advent of TPUSA back during the original Trump run. Not sure he’s every had an original idea. And his way of changing minds is usually a stupid one liner quip follow by 3 of these emojis 🤔🤔🤔.

@chenry_creative Good for you. Wrestling media folks have a responsibility to prevent the perversion of these wrestlers wherever possible. I didn’t realize the sick stuff going on until twitter was a-buzz last week about some of these creeps.

Wrestling will never be mainstream, it’s always going to be on the peripheries of modern sport and I think we are doing a diservice to the sport we love to make it attractive to all

@embdenhaymaker @NDwrestle_ Was thinking the same thing Kyle. I love him at Mary, but could see him head back to his alma mater and do well. He’s a culture guy too. He’s flipped the culture of the program substantially since we’ve been there, in a way that has clearly had success.

@brettmathern @YianniD_LGR Last point is this. I just love Folkstyle… it’s just the toughest damn style out there, puts hair on the chest of kids, teaches you how to get your ass kicked and show up to practice the next day, teaches you how to take tough losses and continue.

@brettmathern @YianniD_LGR Now of course these guys would be phenomenal if they trained exclusively free style, but then again, I think we’d revert to a different wrestling philosophy and mentality when it comes to scoring points, creating action, etc.

@brettmathern @YianniD_LGR I think this is largely due to the fact the folkstyle is the MAIN style for a majority of kids, elementary through college. The JBs, DTs, Dake’s, Gables are not the same guys without folkstyle.

@brettmathern @YianniD_LGR Nah. Folkstyle is about toughness, grit, endurance, and control - which there is no doubt many parallels to freestyle. But compared to most other other countries I find American wrestling is incredibly unique in our ability to grind matches, break opp, and just attack often.
