In the cruel future, freedom is dependent on owning your personal AGI that acts as an antivirus/firewall for cogitohazards when interacting with the internet, or you're gonna get wireheaded.
And you better run it locally unless you *really* trust the people running the service.
@bitcloud I see the appeal of, say, replacing Civilization AI diplomacy with a chat for something like a 'roleplay mode'. I think the first grand strategy game that successfully implements this could become a classic that people will look back on in a decade the way we do now on AoE3.
@MeeraMalhotra33@galaxlee5 >井の中の蛇は幸せでした。
but then
>私は初めて蛙の王さまの言葉の意味がわかりました。
seems like even Ryukishi himself wasn't consistent, lmao.
also the old translation definitely translated the first poem as 'frog'. I wonder what the translators were thinking.
@UNagenki@mkisstillok3@lemonogatari I was telling someone where I found an a voice patch for the old translation that was patched directly on top of the original releases in that post.
I don't think that's how you read it, right?
@UNagenki@lemonogatari They used to push a gameplay flowchart for the various arcs that completely omitted any information about which content was written by Ryukishi and which was bonus content, and the website was a lot more misleading as well before people called them out on it.
@astraIyn I got that version off a torrent from Nyaa a decade ago... I don't actually know if it still exists or if there's still anyone seeding it.
But best of luck if you want to try to find it.
@lemonogatari I remember when I found out 07th mod adds weird extra content into some scenes, completely screwing their pacing.
And the creators pushed the console arc fanfic content so hard while not disclosing that it's not even written by R07. Actually made me mad.
