Wild how the Epstein files led to absolutely nothing. A massive, state-connected child trafficking ring turned into a few weeks of political theater until people's eagerness to do something evaporated. A consequence of US politics revolving around two parties who are complicit.
I am proud to give you the second chapter of One Assassination Under God.
This completes my story.
I used each stone that was thrown at me to sharpen my edges. I outgrew purgatory and carved these songs into the skin of the world. As you listen I hope it forms a scar that you cannot forget.
One Assassination Under God - Chapter 2, will be released August 14th. Pre-order available now.

I’ve been torn about this for like, 8 years. I don’t think it’s this simple.
For a long time, I dated somebody who wanted to be with me so badly but just couldn’t get his life together & chase me at the same time.
Those 2 objectives were sincerely at odds: stay where he was, stable surrounded by family, get his degree & make money at a job he liked, OR uproot everything for me? He insisted he’d do the latter, that he’d do anything for me as soon as he could manage it. But 1 year stretched into 2 and when the 3rd was on the horizon, I ended things. He still wanted me, I still wanted him, but the limbo of being Together but physically apart was torture, and I couldn’t just move either, because I was also tied to where I was.
Employment isn’t a game, none of this exists outside of the constraints of real life.
Lack of desire wasn’t the problem. I think it’s kind of childish to say “if he wanted to, he would,” and pretend like the world just bends to your will, like jobs and money and health don’t exist. Maybe some of you exist in a utopia where you never worry about any of those things. Most of us can’t operate like that.
Now, when it comes to many, many little & huge things, if he wants to, he will. He’ll answer your calls. He’ll stay up late, and he’ll remember your birthday, and he’ll dote on you, and he’ll be tender with you. Respect is unmistakable; fondness is essential; never accept somebody who is callous or dismissive about your thoughts or emotions. If you wonder what he really thinks of you, whether he admires you, whether he wants to protect you, whether he’s faithful to or honest with you, leave. These all reflect the character of your relationship, your dynamic itself, not the resources he has to spare. Emotional resources can also be scarce, but if he simply doesn’t deem you worthy of expending them at all, you’re degrading yourself by begging for his consideration.
But [he’ll blow money he hardly has on me], [he’ll risk his career and professional stability], [he’ll spontaneously overcome every mental and physical health issue he’s ever had], [he’ll be in 2 places at once], [he will literally overcome the laws of nature & man] is toxic fairy tale nonsense, not in the least because he’s giving you everything while you don’t even offer him the grace of seeing him as a human. You want him to be superhuman, flawless for you, and you have no patience, no grace for the alleged love of your life? No. Maybe some of you want to be treated as a prize. I’d rather be treated as an equal.
That doesn’t mean you can’t leave, that his failures to meet your needs despite wanting to must be endlessly forgiven. Look out for yourself. But telling yourself it’s because he didn’t want you enough is needlessly adversarial. You love somebody truly and deeply and it can still fail, because that’s just life. Chin up. Keep going. Figure out what your nonnegotiables are, and don’t let that list get endlessly long. Don’t ever let “he didn’t want me enough” poison your image of yourself or of somebody you love, by making him a villain. It’s not black and white.
Be as soft inside as you are solid on the outside. Act decisively but do not harden your heart. Have self-respect, but remember you are both human and flawed, and grieve that your shortcomings were too much to overcome, if you’re too beleaguered to stay. Have faith that life will grant you love that gives you roots & blooms for the rest of your life; your season will come. Keep tending your garden and don’t you dare grow thorns. You’ll cut yourself before you punish anybody else.
In my mid 20s I was friends (platonic) with this guy (who I thought was really old, but he wasn't lol) who was late 30s. He was uber successful, and had a huge loft space on Wall Street. We'd go out and socialize and I would occasionally stay in his guest room afterward. He had like 5 vocations, was a child genius of some sort, and I was perplexed by him and wanted to understand how he came to be...him. He had great affection toward me and made that known, but never crossed the line or made an advance as he knew it wasn't reciprocated (I actually had a number of male friends like him, which I guess I was so fortunate for, but that's besides the point). At that time in my life it was common for me to have several drinks a night, sometimes six or seven. But, my friend didn't drink. Hmmm, I thought. He always wore his suit out, always socialized with the most diverse groups of people, but refused to drink. We would land home around 3am, and when I'd wake up to use the bathroom around sunrise he was already up - doing breathing and yoga in his room. I'd catch a glimpse as I waddled back to bed, working off a hangover or needing more rest. I came to understand that part of his genius was his tremendous focus on health. He showed up as 100% him (always dressed to the nines), often catering to large groups of people, but never drank or did drugs and focused so much of his time on meditation and home workouts. He never slept in, woke at the same time every day, and just always crushed life. He's one of the most successful people I've ever met, in more ways than one. There are a few of them now, names you all know, and the way they did life created the outcomes that everyone claims to want but without doing the work to get them. I think about the many people I attracted like this back in the day, and we all bonded on feeling "other"; at the time it didn't make sense and I didn't value it enough. I actually had no idea how rare this was and is, to connect with other others in that way. It's gotten more sparse as the years have gone by and our lives have all changed so much. But the main takeaway is that highly successful people sacrifice the common things that the average person can't go without - and they do it even and especially if they are lonely, isolated, "othered". The years of this sacrifice and focus produce what most people think came as a lucky break.
An outlet recently did an interview with GOG execs and the below quote is pretty funny considering the whole "Remakes don't replace the original, you can always just play that instead" argument
@leamaric Completely agree. Taylor Swift's music (specifically her recent music) is just not THAT deep. Fair to say people may not like the album, or even it just completely misses the mark for some. Valid takes. But these socio-political analysis are unhinged and in la-la land.

Is there any potential for a physical release of Don't Dream About Me in the future? Even a limited blu ray run or something. I'd love to own a movie you made on disc.
Recently, it feels like there’s been a renewed awareness of the role of physical editions. I’ve also learned from many RePOP players just how important it is to own a physical edition.
Since most games today go through two to three years of updates after release, I think it would be great if a new ecosystem emerged where definitive physical editions, including all updates and DLC, could be released smoothly and made easy to purchase.
The craziest thing isn’t that Charlie Kirk died, or that there’s (very gruesome) footage of him being shot circulating throughout social media.
Instead, the craziest thing to me is that so many “normal” liberals such as teachers, nurses, friends, family members are taking a great deal of joy in Charlie’s death.
I think I dramatically underestimated how ghoulish and evil these people truly are.
Can’t ever beat how cool Linda looked in the og Resident Evil 1 opening, but here’s a Mimi recreation :3
Not an exact 1:1, but I’m still pretty happy with how this short clip turned out :DD EEEENjoy!

Years ago I went out with a very-wealthy Jewish girl from Boston who was big in the art scene in NYC. Met her at some bar in Brooklyn where bike couriers hang out; proceeded to spend a month straight with her.
She did coke 24/7, took me to VIP rooms at tons of clubs, and seemed to have both infinite money and a near-zero grasp on time or reality. She swore she'd marry me, and she literally prayed we'd get pregnant. We went to "Members Only" in Brooklyn constantly, where I was exposed to some of the weirdest, gayest, richest, most drug-addled people I'd ever seen. I was a filthy hobo at the time, wearing my coal-dust-covered Carhartt overalls (which an elderly gay man from Italy offered me $1000 for; I passed).
Finally, she gave me a gigantic golden ring from India with a massive emerald in it. The ring was in the shape of a snake, and I wore it. She said: "Go to Cottage Grove, Oregon and meet me there -- I have a house there and we'll get married there." So I did it: I hitchhiked from NYC to Oregon over the course of a month or so.
When I got to Cottage Grove, I called her and she had no idea who I was, but asked if I was the one who had her ring. I said yes. She asked me to come to Brooklyn, and six months later, I hitchhiked back there and met up with her.
When I went to her place, she looked distressed and tired. She asked me my name and whether we ever had sex before. Of course I said we did for more than a month straight, and that she said she wanted to get pregnant and marry me. She had no memory of that whatsoever.
So she told me the story: Several months before we'd met, she'd been out at a club and met a guy. They were in the Uber headed to his apartment when he said "wait, why don't we go to my other house in the Caribbean?" She said yes, and they went to JFK to fly to Barbados. There, he took her phone away, imprisoned her there, and raped her daily for several months before her family hired a PI to rescue her.
Once back in the USA, she claimed to have been in a complete fugue state for months on end, in a drug-fueled haze. She had no memory of anything she did during that period, including spending an insane month with me doing the all-night every-night VIP club thing.
I gave her her ring back and left, utterly darkened and weirded out to the core. I really was never the same after this.
if one more person tells me “capitalism is making people starve” i’m going to lose it
the poorest people in America are literally gigantic. like medically unexplainable balloon-shaped and built like refrigerators. we’re not dealing with famine—we’re dealing with doorways having to be widened
have you seen what capitalism gives broke people in this country???
you can wake up at 2pm, take your government-subsidized Ozempic with a 3,000 calorie $9 “coffee” milkshake from Starbucks, get driven to Target in an air-conditioned car you don’t own, buy 40 pounds of seed oils and corn syrup with an EBT card, tap pay on your iPhone, and then go home and watch Netflix while you suck your vape in a recliner until the next time you’re ready to shovel food into that nasty mouth hole
your shampoo has biotin. your snacks come in resealable zip pouches. your cats eat grain-free. your dog wears a thunder shirt. you’ve got twelve $7 body washes for different moods. your teeth are rotting from Mountain Dew. your fridge dispenses crushed ice. you have a bluetooth air fryer that makes chicken nuggets shaped like Paw Patrol characters. you’re on six medications and still have the nerve to say the system is failing you
you don’t cook. you don’t walk. you don’t build. you don’t fix. and yet your lifestyle—degrading as it is—is still propped up by diesel engines, shipping containers, water treatment plants, and a thousand invisible laborers you’ll never meet
capitalism isn’t making you starve. it’s keeping you alive in spite of yourself
it gave you DoorDash. it gave you weed delivery. it gave you plus-size lingerie and mental health apps that send you push notifications like “you’re doing great sweetie” even though you’re a fucking emotionally unregulated lunatic. it gave you multiple streaming services to distract you from your own shitty choices. and you’re mad because it didn’t also give you meaning???
capitalism didn’t fail you. it cushioned your fall. it wrapped it in cheese, deep fried it, and let you finance it at 17% APR
but the most ungrateful part is: the system is still carrying your ass
on a reinforced mobility scooter
through the Walmart
to buy more of that trash you call food
take away profit and by day four of your revolution you’ll be shitting in a bucket and trading hot cheetos for insulin in a parking lot
SHUT THE FUCK UP
