Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 2

Grab your cigar and your bourbon, because Week 2 is here, and it’s time to lock in. This is where Dynasty managers start separating themselves. You can either sit back and watch value move around the league, or you can get ahead of it and grab players before the breakout while moving off the names that won’t hold. I’ve got my five buys and five sells for you this week, and each one is about timing. That’s what wins in Dynasty.

Buyers
Tyquan Thornton is a perfect buy right now. Nobody wants to believe in the Chiefs’ wide receiver room, but the numbers don’t lie. He pulled in four catches for 41 yards in Week 1 and followed it up with 59 yards and a score in Week 2. Patrick Mahomes is targeting him, and that’s all you need to know. With Rashee Rice suspended and Xavier Worthy banged up, that wide receiver room is thin, and Thornton is making a name for himself. Once Mahomes builds trust, it sticks. Thornton isn’t being valued anywhere near what his potential return is going to be, which makes this the exact window you want to slip in before everyone else wakes up.

Elic Ayomanor bounced back in a big way after a quiet opener. Week 2, he went six for 56 and a touchdown. That’s what you want to see from a young player. He showed he can respond, and he showed he can be a real option. At 6’2” with the tools he has, this isn’t a depth guy; this is someone who’s going to carve out a role. In Dynasty, you win by spotting guys right before they really take off. Ayomanor is giving you that chance.

Isaac TeSlaa is not flashy, but he’s reliable. He’s already hit the end zone, and he followed it up with another grab for 29 yards in Week 2. Jared Goff keeps throwing to him, and that’s exactly how these low-profile names turn..
