This is a positive development for the use of electric bicycles, and will ultimately enable the Department to provide better bicycling experiences for more Americans.” #ebikes#ebike#blm#nps#nfs#bicycles
From the the US Department of the Interior 8/30/2019:
“Today, the Department of Interior released a Secretarial Order relating to the use of electric bicycles, or e-bikes, on all Department lands, including lands under management of the National Park Service,
the Bureau of Land Management, the Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Reclamation. The Secretarial Order directs those agencies to conform to the policy that e-bikes shall be allowed where other types of bicycles are allowed, to the extent existing regulations allow.
#Bikes give officers access to areas that would be difficult to get around quickly in a squad car, especially in cities congested with traffic. #police#ebikes#ebike#security

"The e-bike was better than a regular bike, obvi. But it might be better than the bus, too. And better than another awkward conversation with an Uber driver. At $2 for 30 minutes, it might be cheaper, faster, and easier, too." https://t.co/ww6QOmTwNe
“We want to go to people who haven’t even thought about cycling, and the fact that we’ve got these e-bikes, it makes it a lot easier, especially if people are a little bit scared...At £2 a day, it’s more affordable, it’s cheaper than a day bus pass." https://t.co/oFXoY13ObC
