I do not agree with the current covid narrative. End to all the draconian measures now. Protect the most vulnerable, let the rest of us get on with our lives.
@frederickone Thanks Yvonne. But would you believe me if I said I don't use sun cream. Only when I was pregnant did I do so as the doctor (I believed doctors then) said my skin would be more sensitive. Have a great day as well. Remember this won't last long.
From an article I posted yesterday the advice in 1976 was drink beer (in moderation) and eat crisps. Today's doctor's would have a melt down. But crisps provide much needed salt and beer for hydration. That'll definitely be me when I get to the beach.
People don't know how to be sensible without the government (NHS, MetOffice) giving them instructions. I am off to the beach shortly. I am one of the lucky ones I think.
That (they) would send bots/trolls/shills whatever after me, after posting this tweet, speaks volumes. See you later folks. Have a lovely day, and don't forget to be sensible in the sun. ❤️🌞🌞🌞

@frederickone@sciantificnew Same time period as me, also late 50s. The worst time was the cold more than the heat. No heating, still expected to go to school or work. We also used to do all sports in severe winter weather, unless it was totally impossible due to flooding.
@frederickone@sciantificnew Bit of random information. Just read in Sussex World that a small village, Wiggonholt near Pulborough is the hottest place in Sussex and a temperature of 35degrees is expected. That's half an hour from me. MetOffice says 28 now. Only about 45 people live there. No pub there.
@frederickone@sciantificnew Sadly though Yvonne I know people who don't like sunshine at all. There's not much you can say to them. It is common sense. If you watch children they run around like loonies and then rest for a bit and when you think they've had enough, they start again. Most children, that is.
@frederickone@sciantificnew Exactly. So many saying that we pay good money to go to countries for continuous sunshine. A few nice days here and we are told we are all going to die. I live on the South Coast and it is 24 degrees now, rising to 26. But it is extremely windy.
As many people are saying, we pay good money to go to countries to ensure temperatures of 30 degrees C + but here in the UK we are told we are all going to die!
@sciantificnew@frederickone I don't think people are casting aspersions. The people reporting these extreme temperatures are to blame. Most of the UK is not experiencing extreme heat. But if people are told we are going to have 30 degrees C + today then they believe it.
@sciantificnew@frederickone No one was forced to do what they couldn't, but at least try. To get heatstroke a person would have to be in extreme heat without hydration for a very long time. So yes in those cases, teachers should have a duty of care.
@frederickone My children as well. Never missed a school sports day due to the weather. Also my memories are that we actually had sunshine for most of the summer, peppered with a few thunder storms. I am now being told, my memories are wrong.
Gratitude to the universe and to all friends everywhere for so many kind wishes. My cardiac surgery went well -- better than expected. I'll update properly next week. Meanwhile, I'm home, surrounded by love, am enjoying a great reawakening of energy and intend to dive into writing Chapter 21 of my new book tomorrow. Happy Summer Solstice!
@hjluks I see quite a few people agree with me on the vaccine front. There were hardly any vaccines when I was born and my parent chose not to allow me to have them. They knew something then, that has taken me years to work out.
@hjluks I totally agree with you on keeping active, but there are other factors. ' They made a thousand choices'. Not to put too much poison in their bodies, hardly any medication if possible and no, or hardly any vaccines.
You know all this ‘misinformation’ via social media that the government worries about so much ? Funny how so much of it has turned out to be factual after all
