You don’t need to eat sugar to impair your glucose metabolism. You can do it with light.
Even ONE single night of low-level light exposure (>100 lux) has been shown to:
- increase resting heart rate
- increase morning insulin resistance
- impair glucose tolerance
- disrupt melatonin production
- reduce deep sleep + REM sleep
- increase stress + blood pressure
From an evolutionary perspective: moonlight is ~0.3 lux. Candlelight: >10 lux. LED bulbs: ~500-1,500 lux depending on the design.
What we now consider “dim” light at night is actually incredibly bright to our biology.
The hormone story no one’s telling you while they sell you yet another supplement:
Pregnenolone is the foundational substrate for all steroid hormones! (Progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, DHEA)
If you have hormonal imbalances, this is the upstream molecule we need to look at.
It is synthesized in the inner mitochondrial membrane, from cholesterol.
The enzyme that runs the conversion (P450scc) depends on electron flow which depends on mitochondria that are working and properly TIMED.
Mitochondrial dysfunction particularly when driven by circadian misalignment, impairs the conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone.
Think of the body like a fireplace. When the fire runs low, the house starts conserving energy. Blood flow stagnates, digestion slows, drive disappears.
In traditional Chinese medicine, warmth is a safety signal to the body.
If you constantly have cold hands/feet, sluggish digestion and feel a loss of passion or direction, it’s a signal to slow down and give your body more ‘warmth’.
Prioritize: daily sunlight, warm and hydrating meals, ginger & warming herbs, gelatinous soups, mineral bath soaks, sipping hot water during the day, resting, laughing with loved ones.
Vitality and drive comes back once warmth and safety does.
IN 2009, LUC MONTAGNIER — THE MAN WHO DISCOVERED HIV — PROVED THAT DNA TELEPORTS ITSELF THROUGH WATER USING ELECTROMAGNETIC SIGNALS. HE WON THE NOBEL PRIZE. THEN HE WAS EXILED FROM FRANCE.
Luc Montagnier won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2008 for discovering HIV. He was the most decorated virologist in France. He had spent 50 years at the Pasteur Institute. He was untouchable.
Then he touched the wrong subject.
In 2009, Montagnier conducted an experiment that broke the laws of molecular biology as they are currently taught. He took a sealed test tube containing a fragment of bacterial DNA dissolved in water. He placed it next to a second sealed test tube containing nothing but pure, sterilized water. No DNA. No contamination. Nothing.
He exposed both tubes to a weak electromagnetic field at 7 Hz for 18 hours.
Then he performed PCR amplification on the pure water — the tube that never contained DNA. The water produced a DNA sequence. The same sequence that was in the other tube. With 98% accuracy.
The DNA had not physically moved between the tubes. No molecules crossed the barrier. What crossed was an electromagnetic signal. The DNA in tube one emitted a frequency. That frequency was transmitted through the electromagnetic field into tube two. The water in tube two received the signal and organized itself into the corresponding DNA structure.
DNA teleportation. Through frequency. Through water.
Montagnier published the results. He presented them at conferences. He stated publicly that Benveniste — the scientist destroyed for claiming water has memory — was correct all along. He said the future of medicine is electromagnetic, not chemical.
France turned on him overnight.
His colleagues at the Pasteur Institute distanced themselves. The French media called him a pseudoscientist. The man who discovered HIV — who had been celebrated as a national hero for 25 years — was treated as if he had lost his mind.
Montagnier left France. He moved to China, where Jiao Tong University gave him a laboratory and funding to continue his research. He said in an interview: "I cannot do this work in France. There is a kind of intellectual terror from people who do not understand."
A Nobel Prize winner. Exiled from his own country. For proving that DNA communicates through electromagnetic frequency and that water is the medium.
Think about what his experiment means. If DNA emits a signal that can be captured by water and reconstructed into a physical genetic sequence, then your body is not just a collection of molecules. It is a broadcasting system. Every cell in your body is transmitting its genetic information electromagnetically into the water that surrounds it. And that water is receiving, storing, and retransmitting the signal to every other cell.
Your body is a self-organizing electromagnetic network that uses water as its communication medium. Disease is not a random breakdown. It is a corrupted signal propagating through a water-based network. Fix the signal. The network corrects itself.
Montagnier knew this. He proved it. He had the Nobel Prize to protect him. And it was not enough.
He died in 2022. The obituaries mentioned HIV. Almost none mentioned the experiment that defined his final decade. The experiment that proved biology is electromagnetic. The experiment that terrified an industry built on the assumption that it is not.
The signal is real. The water remembers. And now, so do you.
🔔 A Nobel Prize was not enough to protect the truth. But millions of people sharing it is. Share this now.

With summer upon us, I want to remind you of one thing: one of the best indicators of health is your excitement for life.
And usually, that comes from the simplest things. The ones that have been free all along.
Sun on your skin every damn day, real food shared with people you love, laughing till your stomach hurts, swimming in a cold lake, bare feet on the sand, late nights that were worth it, feeling truly present for once.
Find your way back to the things that actually fill you, and I promise you it will outperform any supplement or biohack on the market.
Nobody can buy or sell this. And that's exactly why it's the most powerful medicine you have.
Lactoferrin is one of my favorite tools for supporting healthy iron status (while working on the root cause).
Not only is it immune-modulating, antimicrobial, and antioxidant…
It also binds excess, unbound iron - a huge and often overlooked piece of the puzzle. While iron is essential, free iron can drive oxidative stress, inflammation, and feed unwanted microbes.
In a meta-analysis comparing oral lactoferrin to ferrous sulfate (the most commonly prescribed iron supplement for anemia), lactoferrin was associated with:
Serum iron ↑ 41.44 µg/dL
Ferritin ↑ 13.60 ng/mL
Hemoglobin ↑ 11.8 g/L (1.18 g/dL)
IL-6 ↓ 45.59 pg/mL
Often the answer isn’t more iron (especially not the synthetic kind, please!!), but helping the body handle iron properly in the first place.
Most people think low iron automatically means they need more iron.
But iron metabolism is a lot more nuanced than that.
Because often (not always) the issue isn’t a lack of iron…
It can be inflammation, poor iron handling, gut dysfunction, poor mitochondrial function.
The body is intelligent. When inflammation is high, it deliberately reduces iron absorption and release as a protective mechanism.
This is why I find lactoferrin so fascinating.
Endometriosis + chronic UTIs + gut dysbiosis.
We started with her gut - yeast overgrowth + dysbiosis that had been building for years, compounded by monthly antibiotics. We also, of course, worked deeply on her circadian rhythm and cellular health.
Endo is a Cell Danger Response. Your ovaries contain up to 1 million mitochondria per cell. Hormone production, follicular development, endometrial repair - it all runs on ATP. When energy production breaks down, inflammation increases and repair becomes compromised.
She's now pain-free, rarely gets UTIs, her gut has healed, and gone from antibiotics every month to once this year.💛
Soothing marshmallow root infusion :)
Avoid hot water. The soothing mucilage is best extracted using a cold infusion.
Add 1-2 tbsp of dried marshmallow root to a jar of water. Leave it overnight. Strain and drink first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach.
My tip: Add a splash of warm water before drinking so you're not having cold water first thing in the morning.
If you deal with any form of gut irritation, you should know about marshmallow root!
Acid reflux, IBS, bloating, leaky gut, poor nutrient absorption - give this soothing herb a try.
Marshmallow root has been used for over 2,800 years to help support gut irritation and soothe respiratory conditions.
As a naturopathic practitioner, it’s one of my favorite herbs for the gut.
Its Greek name, Althaea, literally means “to heal.” :)
Rich in soothing mucilage, it coats, protects, and calms the lining of the digestive tract, supporting healing.
Unhinged glowy skin tips. Backed by research.
1. Reduce blue light. Esp. at night. Penetrates deep into connective tissue - degrading collagen and elastin. Feeds bacteria linked to acne. Directly linked to premature aging and wrinkles. (PMID: 30568934)
2. Go to bed early. Late bedtimes damage your skin barrier, reduce melanin and hemoglobin, and wreck your facial microbiome. (Remember: you're not a night owl, you're just under blue light)
3. Green tea + red light. Soak cotton pads in green tea, apply for 10-20 min before red light therapy. EGCG neutralizes oxidative damage while red light boosts collagen and ATP. One study achieved major wrinkle reduction in 1 month vs 10 months with red light alone.
4. Use hydrating foods to your advantage. Meat stock/broth, egg yolks, ripe fruit, soups & stews.
5. Allow yourself to say no more often. Stress & cortisol = inflammation, puffiness, dullness. Feeling safe and calm makes you glow.
6. Vitamin C depletion can contribute to saggy skin, wrinkles, and acne. Seasonal citrus fruits, acerola cherry powder, organ meats.
Meal timing - completely independent of what you eat - impacts your gut just as much as food quality does.
The lower esophageal sphincter - the valve that prevents stomach acid from creeping back up - is under circadian control. Its function changes throughout the day based on your body clock. Which means eating late at night, when that valve is naturally more relaxed, can be the sole reason someone begins to experience acid reflux.
Your digestive enzymes, microbiome, gut motility - all of it shifts throughout the day based on when you eat and what light your body has received.
What to do:
Morning sunlight before your first meal. Last meal at least 4 hours before bed. Those two things alone will do more for your gut than most supplements.
As light drops, honor it - block artificial blue light, let melatonin rise. That's when your gut heals. And get outside during the day. Skin exposure to UVB has been shown to increase microbiome diversity.
Sunlight for your gut. Not what you expected, but here we are.🌞
Let me tell you something I WISH someone had told me years ago when I was healing my own chronic gut issues.
Light is one of the most powerful levers you have for your gut health. And it is so, so overlooked.
Your gut produces 400 times more melatonin than your brain. Melatonin in your GI tract surpasses blood levels by 10-100 times.
Meaning, your gut is a circadian organ - completely married to the light and dark cycle. Motility, digestion, absorption, barrier integrity, immune function, your entire microbiome composition - all of it runs on circadian biology.
Your gut cells have their own internal clock. And that clock is set by light + timing. So when you see sunlight, when you eat, when you're exposed to artificial light at night, etc. But if you're scrolling till midnight, not getting morning sunlight, eating late... your gut eventually loses its ability to function, protect and repair itself.
Let's talk about what this means for you!
The liver runs on a circadian clock. It governs when the liver detoxifies, produces bile, synthesizes proteins, manages lipid metabolism and many, many other tasks.
Artificial light at night, no morning sunlight, eating late - all of it throws that clock off which causes the liver to suffer. This is where we start :)
1. Glorious sunlight & red light. Morning light activates liver mitochondria through cytochrome c oxidase. And vitamin D from sun exposure regulates hundreds of liver genes.
2. Phosphatidylcholine. It's what your liver cell membranes and bile are literally made of. Without enough, bile becomes thick and prone to sludging. Egg yolks. Salmon roe. Beef liver. BodyBio PC if needed.
3. Fascia and lymphatic flow. Your liver sits inside a fascial compartment. How restricted that tissue is directly affects drainage. Movement, breathwork, abdominal massage, and Perry Nickelston's Big 6 (the holy grail!)
Then: castor oil packs, milk thistle, vitamin C (acerola cherry powder is my fave!), curcumin, schisandra
Let's talk about liver congestion.
The liver is not a drain that gets blocked. It's the most mitochondrially dense tissue in your body outside of the heart and brain. Every single function it performs (bile production, hormone detoxification, lipid metabolism, phase 1 and 2 detox) runs on mitochondrial energy. On ATP.
When it's not working well, the primary driver is almost always the same thing: the mitochondria don't have enough energy to run the organ properly.
So whilst it's easier to say the liver is just congested, let's detox it, the truth is that it's a bioenergetic insufficiency. Which is a different mechanism.
'Detox' or liver support like castor oil packs and milk thistle are genuinely valuable - I recommend both! But they're supportive. They don't restore the mitochondrial function that was failing in the first place. Let's talk about what does.
Every mechanism your body has to prevent cancer - DNA repair, apoptosis, immune surveillance, tumor suppressor genes - is under circadian control.
What disrupts it most? Not the sun. Artificial light. Indoor living. Chronic blue light. Sun avoidance.
The research linking UV to melanoma was done on nocturnal mice and petri dishes - not humans receiving full spectrum sunlight. That is not evidence about human sunbathing. It never was.
In real sunlight, UV never arrives alone. It comes packaged with red and infrared - the wavelengths that repair cells, build collagen, and stimulate melanin production.
Melanin is nature's sunscreen. It blocks 99% of UV. You build it through the sun. When you avoid the sun, you block the very system designed to protect you.
Damage alone doesn't cause cancer. Unrepaired damage + immune failure + metabolic dysfunction + circadian disruption does. Never burn. But never hide.
'The sun causes melanoma.' Show me one study using full spectrum sunlight (not isolated UV) on humans that proves this. You won't find one.
Most countries with the least sun in Europe have the highest skin cancer rates. Norway 198. Denmark 191. Netherlands 209. Turkey - the sunniest - 10.
What we DO know:
- Indoor fluorescent light linked to increased melanoma risk (PMID: 29857905)
- Sun avoidance linked to 340,000 US and 480,000 European deaths per year (PMID: 32664282)
Not long ago, sunlight was medicine. In the early 1900s, patients were wheeled out onto hospital rooftops and balconies across Europe to heal - tuberculosis, skin diseases, bone conditions.
The sun didn't become a villain because the science changed, but because profits needed a scapegoat.
In the 70s, companies like L'Oréal and Nestlé funded campaigns that shifted public perception and influenced the WHO to label UV a carcinogen.
Always. Follow. The. Money.
