Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister has criticised a UN special rapporteur’s statement on Cambodia, accusing it of lacking balance, relying on distorted information and exceeding the mandate of the UN Human Rights Council.

In a letter to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Thailand also defended its account of the Thailand-Cambodia conflict and reaffirmed its commitment to cooperation with UN rights mechanisms.
