On April 4, 2025, a Russian Iskander missile struck a children’s playground in Kryvyi Rih.
Matvii was there alongside other children and civilians. During the missile attack, his mom shielded him with her own body. She was killed, saving her son’s life.
Matvii lost an arm. After medical treatment and rehabilitation, he received a prosthetic limb at Superhumans Center.
Today, Matvii goes to school, plays with his friends, and makes plans for the future.
But his life has changed forever, as did the lives of so many innocent Ukrainian kids.

🇷🇺🇨🇦 Russia has threatened Canada with an “appropriate response” for supporting Ukraine
Moscow accused Ottawa of being a “warmonger” for continuing to provide military assistance to Kyiv and vowed to add Canadian defense-related facilities to its military planning.
It's always fascinating to hear lectures about peace from a country that launched the largest war in Europe since World War II.
In the Kremlin's worldview, invading your neighbor is normal. Helping the victim defend itself is the real provocation.
Ukraine’s arms boom surprised even Putin While Russia thought Ukraine would be crushed by bureaucracy and shortages, something else happened: an entire nation under fire threw out the piles of paperwork and said “if it works, just build it.” In small workshops across the country, drones, artillery and other weapons are now being built at a pace that makes NATO’s largest countries look like they’re standing still. The irony is perfect: A country at war suddenly became one of the world’s most innovative arms factories – not through large government contracts, but through people solving problems on the ground. Putin counted on a quick victory. Instead, he got a production boom he never saw coming. Source: Reports on Ukrainian Defense Industry 2026
