Just a reminder… A day is coming when you and I, and everyone reading this, will leave this world. We will lie alone beneath the earth, with no family, no notifications, no worldly comforts, only the deeds we sent ahead. On that day, every promise of Allah will be seen with absolute certainty.

For some, the grave will be a place of tranquility as they await the Day of Resurrection with hope. For others, it will be filled with regret, desperately wishing for another opportunity, pleading, “My Lord, return me so I may do good.”

Ya Allah… You know what is in our hearts. We are trying to come back to You. We try to lower our gaze, guard our tongues, leave our sins, and become better than we were yesterday. Yet we keep slipping. We keep falling. Still, we never want to lose hope in Your mercy.

Ya Ghafoor, don’t leave us to ourselves even for the blink of an eye. Cover our faults, forgive the sins we remember and the ones we’ve forgotten, accept our repentance, keep our hearts firm upon Your religion, and let our final breath be upon Lā ilāha illā Allāh. Make our graves gardens from the gardens of Jannah, not pits from the pits of the Fire.
