Most editing problems aren't editing problems.
There are clarity problems.
If you're staring at the timeline with no idea what to do next, don't add more effects.
Ask yourself:
"What is this scene supposed to make the viewer feel?"
The edit usually gets easier after that.
Most editors stare at the timeline waiting for ideas.
When I'm stuck, I stop editing and start studying.
Great edits come from great references.
