She’ll return to Mid-Wilshire once a spot opens up. Until then, they’ll still loop her into the same cases. It’s not the first show to move a character, it doesn’t mean fewer storylines/ reduced scene space or isolation from the cast.

Almost every procedural show I’ve watched has had chr transfer for a few epis. It doesn’t mean the chrs are being written off / actors are quitting, it just means the showrunners are trying to introduce fresh energy into the series through new settings & new chrs.

Lucy transferring wouldn’t be the worst thing, imo. She’d get to form new bonds & truly step out on her own, without the safety of Tim’s presence. It could also be a good storyline for Chenford, navigating this new hurdle & coming out stronger.

@AlexiHawley The writing in this season has been so inconsistent and all over the place. I was so excited for Chenford, but with each passing epi, I am losing interest.
It’s all just a drag at this point with no emotional connectivity btw the chrs or the audience.
