If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that reputation is everything, a commodity even at the workplace. Though honestly, it was easier for me to guard mine when I was in my sole contributor role, getting harder now that I moved to managerial one.

Got an email yang somehow isinya put the blame on my team member, so I (justifiably) counter la balik the email. A relatively sharp one, tapi still respectful. Colleague who was also in the cc datang, “kau kalau gigit memang tak lepas eh?” Sksksksk.

Asked my play buddy who’s also someone I’m managing at work to join me bouldering tonight but he said kerja belum siap. Now I’m conflicted. Dulu, when we were just work buddies, no levels etc, I can say buat esok je la, bukan boss dia tahu pun. But now, I will know😭

I’m saying this in the most humble way possible tau; kalau kita beradu tenaga, I could easily pin you down, no cap. Sure, akan ada moment I jerit macam pondan, mostly sebab adrenaline rush. But one thing I (humbly) know for sure, in term of strength, you’re no match for me.
