FES, 6th grade Odyssey and 5th grade STEM classes welcomed Natalie Surin, Manager of Central Development Initiatives at WMCHealth, representing Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Ms. Surin visited to thank students for raising $242.80 through a student designed cardboard arcade

Yesterday the Farley Counseling Center proudly hosted a special event to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month! Students wore green and visited stations during lunch to explore calming strategies, coping skills, and learn ways to care for their minds and hearts.

FES Student Gov raised $400+ at the 8th Annual Ring the Sombrero on May 2nd! All proceeds go to NR Tiny Helpers in memory of Owen Schuler.

Mrs. Burckardt, Mrs. Addison, & Ms. Tveit’s reading classes joined together to kick off Spring Break yesterday with a Phonics Easter Egg Hunt! The eggs were filled with sentences based on their UFLI lessons and the group members had to work together to read & write 6 sentences.

6th grade students are using a life sized grid to lean about the Cartesian coordinate system. They are able to determine the exact location of coordinate pairs through visual cues and kinesthetic learning. Thank you to our math coaches for providing these amazing manipulative.
