"Crazy" was born during a period of political and social upheaval. Seal wrote the song with producer Trevor Horn while reflecting on the dramatic changes taking place around the world at the end of the 1980s.

Released in late 1990 as the lead single from Seal's 1991 self-titled debut album, "Crazy" became the British singer's breakthrough hit, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart andthe Top 10 in several countries.

"Give It Away" was released in 1991 as the lead single from Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Written by Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante and Chad Smith, the funk-rock anthem became the band's first No. 1 hit on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, where it remained at the top for five consecutive weeks and helped propel the group into the mainstream.
