These books don't exist in a vacuum. They are constantly compared... And Jesus said all scripture is inspired by God and good for teaching. The best way to read the old testament is in Hebrew, obviously. Hebrew has meaning inside its letters and words and tells a secondary story. The new testament should be read in Greek. But if you can't read those things then you take the oldest and compare.

The new testament was written in Greek. Any modern Grecian could easily read the manuscript and call foul. And Grecians are very VERY Christian. The old testament is written mostly in hebrew. Again, modern Jews would debunk the old testament we use (some parts they don't agree with, but they don't doubt it's accuracy) and they have incentive to do so. Also, you might want to look up the term Messianic Jew... have a good day.

Jesus is the Son of God. He's also the first of many brethren. In the end, Jesus gives back the kingdom to the Father. Jesus is of God, like my son is of me and a part of me. No one knows the exact relationship, all we know is that Jesus died for us, and without him and the grace of God, we can not be saved.
