@HamptonGayFarm I do not want to be responsible for any of our team being involved in an accident either as the injured person or otherwise. If you want to come and see what we are doing for the environment I would welcome your visit. We are doing virtually the same as you but not organic
@HamptonGayFarm The simple reason is safety of employees and public. We move sheep and cattle along most of the estate roads and we need to be able to do it safely. We have speed camera’d drivers doing in excess of 85mph in front of the farm gates which is deadly.
@HamptonGayFarm We also have a lot of pedestrians, cyclists and dog walkers using the smaller lanes, cyclists often come round the corners on the wrong side to keep out of potholes and away from the verges, this has directly led to two cyclists almost disappearing under our sprayer.
Why having a fire emergency procedure is key to protect your farm in these hot, dry conditions. This was stopped after 8ac, before it reached the #wheat thanks to a good action plan & fantastic fire crews. Speak to our #healthandsafety expert, Rob Gazely, to get one.
