I’m asking the question of @RishiSunak and @trussliz - who will be the PM to Back British Farming? It’s high time government took food seriously; UK Food Security should matter just as much as Energy Security. Please RT 🐄🐑🥕🌾 https://t.co/XSmHA6ExkH
@mrmattyhill of the cows when they lunge, then Jack the top support rail up (the cubicles will strech), to the height where you can achieve the correct diagonal measurement from heel stone to neck rail for the size of your cows
@mrmattyhill Agree 4x2 along back is cheapest and best option. We've also just used 4x2 for the brisket at the front, if you can't fix to floor, iae sell brackets that fix to cubicle that you can fix timber to. Also lower the bottom support rail as low as you can so its less in the way of

@EvansTudur Been wearing these for last couple of years, not cheap and more hassle getting on and off. But great ankle support and comfy to spend all day in. Gortex and tounge is sealed into to boot so waterproof. Last about a year before sole wears out
@Sam_Adams_1 More access points for stirring the better. Only put 2 gates in on ours, should have put another 3. Also used security fencing with security bolts, wish i used standard bolts instead so could have easily unbolted and removed any fence panel to give access all around

@Jostwest I'm not promoting not tubing, as colostrum intake for calves is so important. But moving away from tubing has certainly worked for us and had positive effect on calf health
@Jostwest Moved away from tubing last year, let calves suckle, bottle teat feed if not.Saves time not thawing/tubing.Find calves then accept feeder teat more willingly, as calf doesn't think will be tubed when approached by person.Saves time and stress for calf and farmer
