[Operation Wealth Creation @OWC_ug]

To enhance market access and promote value addition in the dairy sector, @naadsug Secretariat supported eight (8) dairy farmer organizations/processors with mini dairy processing equipment. These facilities, with a capacity of 250 to 500 liters per batch, enable the production of pasteurized milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream, creating diverse income opportunities for farmers.

Beneficiary districts include Kabale, Kiboga, Kamwenge, Kyankwanzi, Isingiro, Ntungamo, Fort Portal City, and Kamuli. This strategic intervention strengthens the dairy value chain, empowering farmers to access broader markets while increasing profitability through value-added products.

Hon. @DrRwamiramaBK , Minister of State for Animal Industry (@MAAIF_Uganda ), officiated the commissioning of a mini-dairy processing factory at Kigezi Dairy Cooperative Society Ltd in Kabale, marking a milestone in transforming dairy farming in the region.
