Iran spent years warning the West that attacking them would fracture the global economy. The US/Israel did it anyway, proving Professor Gill’s exact point, that the system is now contradictory between US economic stability and Israel’s expansion/military objectives. They have to put up a charade for the American voter. One of the main points for the next election will be the US war on Iran and subsequent deal, and all candidates participating will show their discontent with Netanyahu.

Whoever wins the election next will dump the trash on Netanyahu & Trump, and tell the world that Israel is not the problem, Netanyahu and few of his ministers were.

Even if this deal makes it through, they will start talking about the threat of Iranian ballistic missiles and human rights violations, using it as a cover for more sanctions.

This relationship will go on the same backdoor and in structure. Faces, rhetoric and public posturing will change, policies will remain the same.

To everyone criticizing and shaming Iran for excluding Gaza from MoU, a quick reminder that Hamas leaders publicly condemned Iranian strikes on US bases, in self defense, urging Iran to “stop attacking GCC countries," while Hezbollah bled and actually engaged in the war to defend Iran. I heard nothing but crickets on X from most Western Palestinian activists when Iran was being bombed. But go on, reduce this to a Sunni vs. Shia issue, you have no shame and no understanding of geopolitical negotiations.
