@BarneySimon Ha ha my parents had the Nickname of Sid and Nancy ( Mom’s second name ) . They loved the nickname until the infamous incident. He just mentioned that Sid Vicious once and won’t listen to his music. Decades later my Brother had a Nickname of Chris Benoit.

@BarneySimon Some would hang their heads in shame , some would donner their kids while others would say this is the teacher’s fault. Some would scream popia. My mom’s friend did this around 2011. How the children swear in her class. Parents were so angry and some got slaps just there.

@kevinnbass You should see pictures of 1996. Every area was clean. I always speak about belville and Parow as places I went to as a child and a teen. This was a place where I could walk alone as a teen but I saw the decline since the early 2000’s. Now , no one I know wants to go there.

@kevinnbass I remember my uncles and aunts visits Rhodesia around this time. ( not sure the date but I am sure it was 1970’s). My uncle explained how it was. He had a ball of a time, everything was super cheap and he explained the buffet. He enjoyed it.
