@Ameirinzosan sanji cares a lot and likes to be useful, so it's not just abt being smart, it's how much he pays attention to how/when/where he is needed by reading the situation. it makes him a fun puzzle piece in arc climaxes while also giving him different fighter portrayal from zoro

I like the quote they chose for sanji's cover -- 「よく考えろ　状況を読め‼︎」/ "think... read the situation!!" -- because it captures his quick wittedness and his role on the crew really well

i was growing tired of lazy character analysis/portrayal in official OP magazines and other contents. esp with sanji, so many times shueisha just goes "yeah he loves women" to summarize his entire character while giving lore-related intricacies and analyses to other characters
