i don't know them and i never will. and i know no one will care about this little think piece but i wanted to put it out there. all that being said, i hope she heals and learns how to express herself in a more healthy and productive way.
i can't help but think about my initial reaction to the whole HW situation. i've let it marinate in my mind and i've come to this conclusion:
at first i was like, there's no way, she's lying blah blah blah. but... i don't know this man, and i don't know her.
i don't agree with the way she is handling things and i don't like her. at the end of the day she was deeply hurt by their relationship and i will never ever be able to say her feelings are not valid. NO ONE who's been abused owes anyone "proof" of it
abuse is a very serious claim & something that i have experienced first hand. throwing it around as promotion is very telling to me.
i believe when women say they've been abused but when it's being used as engagement farming it really comes off as disingenuous and gross.
and another thing: her making it known that he was not in a good place mentally towards the end of their relationship (hence why he shaved his head) and then making that dig/comparison to britney spears shaving her head is just so ew when you really sit down and think about it
this being said, if you or someone you know is suffering from abuse/suspected abuse here are a few resources you can use:

if sam really is abusive he has 100% lost my support along with the rest of gvf. but i have to admit the way the claims are being handled and used as promo is making it really hard for me to take it seriously.
//not HR related
i'm so glad gvf figured out that corporate frat bro was NOT the way to go and are finally giving the girlies (gender neutral) what they want. and that's pretty men in their underwear.
