@BladeoftheS Who's loading up the robot? Who's plugging it in? We are a long way from almost everyone being unemployed, certain repetitive tasks could be replaced, but most work will still need people
@PeterStefanovi2 Yes, to isolate and humiliate him for his small mindedness, and remind him of his lack of place in a democratic world - we are all better off without these kind of characters in places of power and influence
@PeterStefanovi2 The govt needs to make the industry more appealing, an ageing workforce with fewer and fewer young people joining up - nobody seems to want to do the hard work involved at times in construction these days for the rewards they get
@anon_opin Tbh you'd feel similar doing a trade, if you're on the tools working til 40 or more, you'd feel pretty done physically, if not before depending on trade. I sometimes wonder how different things would be if I wasn't in the trade
@MoneySavingExp Depends on your usage/distance daily. I would suggest a hybrid if you're doing a mix of distance and local, that's what we use. But petrol could be more viable depending on how long you plan on driving for before giving up, plus they're lighter than a hybrid with a bigger tank
Second half of the cedar cladding complete! Client was over the moon with the first half, glad to finally have it wrapped up and on to the next one! #carpentry#cedarcladding#trades#construction
Back on the tools for a bit this week, and a first for me fitting some cedar cladding! Nice to be working outdoors for a change, looking forward to the second half of this one 🔨 #carpentry#construction
We need Financial Education in EVERY school for EVERY child.
My speech to all-party group for financial education of MPs, Lords & others at Parliament (I really got wound up towards the end, sorry if it was OTT)
@MoneySavingExp Second hand office furniture places aren't too bad if you shop around, there is a place not far from me in west brom called office furniture outlet
So many people don't want to admit it but a tax increase for the wealthiest in society is a pretty easy fix for most societal problems. I know it's not exactly fair but they can afford it and the rest of us can't
@_rfasham@YodelOnline So hit and miss with some delivery companies right now, we've had yodel parcels arrive before 7 in the morning in the past and missed around the same time, like wtf dude I'm getting ready for work not waiting for you.... 😂😭
Thames Water is talking about a temporary renationalisation to pay their debts.
This must not be allowed, there is no temporary, if they are nationalised it is GAME OVER, goodbye shareholders.
RT if we must not be made to pay their debts for nothing.
@MSE_Deals I was with Vodafone but found a good deal on Fonehouse with a pixel 7a on Talkmobile with 100gb data bundle for less than £20 p/m, bargain compared to the big 4 networks tbh
The UK has the most people in work, ever, and the highest taxes ever.
Yet there is no money for the NHS, schools, potholes, pensions, Junior Doctors, or anything you need.
Who is taking all our money?
The UK has the highest retirement age in the world, the lowest pension in Europe, the longest working hours in Europe, one of the lowest minimum wages, the highest energy costs, the biggest profits, and the lowest taxes for the richest.
It all needs to change.
