No matter how well you do in sports, there’s always gonna be someone negative.
Win? They complain.
Lose? They complain.
Do well? They downplay it.
That’s life.
Stay away from negative people. Miserable people hate seeing others succeed. Keep working, keep winning, keep moving.
@CoachSwit Definitely no travel ball until after LL. There is no rush. Several Little Leaguers are also playing travel. Wayyy too much baseball at a young age.
"No matter how talented you are. Your talent will fail you if you are not skilled. If you don't study, work hard, and dedicate yourself to be better every single day you will never realize your true potential...and that would be a shame "
Somewhere along the way in baseball, “looking the part” became more important than playing it.
Custom cleats. Arm sleeves. Chains. Sliding mitts. Strange Eye black designs. Cool
Drip doesn’t hide bad baseball. The box score exposes it.
Being a high school multi-sport athlete should be encouraged, not discouraged. As a varsity coach, I support players competing in other sports. The problem isn’t multi-sport participation—it’s coaches expecting year-round priority. That’s control, not development.
The amount of H.S. Players Being told to reclass because they were over promised where they could play in college is a lot. The re-classing has hurt H.S. Baseball.
"Great teams do not hold back with one another. They are unafraid to air out their dirty Laundry. They admit their mistakes, their weaknesses, and their concerns without any form of reprisal."
