The twelfth World Cup of my lifetime (that I can actually remember) starts today and I’m struggling to muster any enthusiasm for it. A bloated group stage with little sense of jeopardy and with at least two “Groups of Dearth” isn’t helping.
@AMP86793444 It could be that Atkinson/Stokes were victims but in the eyes of the ECB it doesn’t matter - at pretty much the first opportunity, players, including the captain broke curfew. On the back of a dreadful Ashes series where a drinking culture was an issue, the optics are poor.
@HelloBenWhite What nonsense is this? Talking about England struggling to create chances against Argentine late in the game? We were down to 10 men and had been for most of the second half. And we were unfortunate to have a goal ruled out that would have made it 3-2.
I sense a lot of West Ham fans are thinking, "OK we go down and spend a year in the Championship, but when we go back up again..."
Like the Championship is a formality.
You'll find out Hammers.
If these marchers really are “the BEST of us” then maybe it’s time to pray for the asteroid/comet and let the cockroaches have a go at running the planet - they surely couldn’t do any worse…?
Is there a SINGLE UK journalist who will do what I have done and go up and down today’s march against the GENOCIDE in Gaza and actually report the TRUTH?
TRUTH:
These are NOT “hate marches”
They are marches for justice and against GENOCIDE
The marchers are the BEST of us
@RipVanWinkle887@HLTCO@nickvann1987__ Chap, it would have just been easier for you to type “I don’t understand people or the emotions involved in following a sports team”. Actually, it would probably have been easier (and better) to type nothing at all.
I never thought I’d be retweeting someone describing how a dog’s penis works, yet, as a result of the latest (and most ludicrous) PallyWanker smear, here we are…
For all the idiots out there. Something basic, a dogs penis does not operate the same way as that of a human.
The claim that Israel trained dogs to sexually assault Palestinian detainees fails on basic canine anatomy.
Unlike humans, a dog’s penis contains a bone (the os penis or baculum) which runs along the shaft but stops approximately 1–2 cm short of the tip.
The tip and outer glans are soft, pliable vascular tissue with no bony support. It is not engorged like that of human. This means a dog lacks a rigid leading edge to force entry against any resistance or uncooperative tissue, the tip will simply buckle and deflect rather than penetrate
Moreover, canine mating anatomy is designed around a cooperative, receptive female in oestrus. It requires a relaxed musculature and natural lubrication. These are prerequisites for penetration even under ideal conditions.
Experienced breeders know that even with a fully willing female, dogs frequently fail to achieve penetration without physical assistance. The anatomy presupposes cooperation; it is not built for forced entry.
The bulbus glandis, the distinctive swelling at the base of the penis, which locks in place, only fully engorges after successful entry. It plays no role in achieving initial penetration.
In short, forced penetration of an uncooperative human by a dog is not merely unlikely, it is anatomically precluded by the structure of the organ itself. As well as by the anatomy of the supposed entry point.
There are ways to do it. We learnt a lot about that from the evidence given about the Muslim rape gangs in the UK preparing young girls for anal sex. Look it up if you’re interested. But if these reports about Israeli rape dogs were true those details were surely be included because they’re much worse than getting raped by a dog.
Comment away all you like, but I’m not responding to this ludicrous claim. It’s not worthy of my attention.
@mikemoviez Parents went to a screening @ the BFI which was followed by a Q&A with Hoskins. Somebody asked about the editing (“the bridges are out of sequence”). Hoskin’s response; “You mean to tell me that when I was making my speech, you were looking at the f*cking bridges?”
@pipterino Saw them at Brixton Academy and was warned in advance that the gig would either be one of the best I’d ever seen or the absolute worse - no middle ground. They were superb on the night, easily one of my top five gigs.
@UKBackintheDay2 Astonishingly enough there are quite a few grumbles about this being played at Stranglers gigs whenever I go. I’ll never understand that.
