Your smart TV is taking screenshots of your screen every 15 seconds.
Not a guess. Not a theory.
A peer-reviewed study by researchers at UC Davis, UCL, and UC3M tested it.
Samsung TVs: every minute.
LG TVs: every 15 seconds.
Even when you're just using it as a monitor.
Here's how to turn it off for every brand:
Introducing Project Genie: An experimental research prototype powered by Genie 3, our world model, that lets you prompt an interactive world into existence — and then step inside 🌎
@cursor_ai the fix for large MCP tool output files not being read works mostly with Claude models. To broaden support across models, still need to add to the tool call descriptions.
Our TPUs are headed to space!
Inspired by our history of moonshots, from quantum computing to autonomous driving, Project Suncatcher is exploring how we could one day build scalable ML compute systems in space, harnessing more of the sun’s power (which emits more power than 100 trillion times humanity’s total electricity production).
Like any moonshot, it’s going to require us to solve a lot of complex engineering challenges. Early research shows our Trillium-generation TPUs (our tensor processing units, purpose-built for AI) survived without damage when tested in a particle accelerator to simulate low-earth orbit levels of radiation. However, significant challenges still remain like thermal management and on-orbit system reliability.
More testing and breakthroughs will be needed as we count down to launch two prototype satellites with @planet by early 2027, our next milestone of many. Excited for us to be a part of all the innovation happening in (this) space!
Wow.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong pulled up a prediction market at the end of their earnings call today and he rattled off all the words people were betting he would say.
Legend.

A couple reflections on the quantum computing breakthrough we just announced...
Most of us grew up learning there are three main types of matter that matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Today, that changed.
After a nearly 20 year pursuit, we’ve created an entirely new state of matter, unlocked by a new class of materials, topoconductors, that enable a fundamental leap in computing.
It powers Majorana 1, the first quantum processing unit built on a topological core.
We believe this breakthrough will allow us to create a truly meaningful quantum computer not in decades, as some have predicted, but in years.
The qubits created with topoconductors are faster, more reliable, and smaller.
They are 1/100th of a millimeter, meaning we now have a clear path to a million-qubit processor.
Imagine a chip that can fit in the palm of your hand yet is capable of solving problems that even all the computers on Earth today combined could not!
Sometimes researchers have to work on things for decades to make progress possible.
It takes patience and persistence to have big impact in the world.
And I am glad we get the opportunity to do just that at Microsoft.
This is our focus: When productivity rises, economies grow faster, benefiting every sector and every corner of the globe.
It’s not about hyping tech; it’s about building technology that truly serves the world.
VideoJAM is our new framework for improved motion generation from @AIatMeta
We show that video generators struggle with motion because the training objective favors appearance over dynamics.
VideoJAM directly adresses this **without any extra data or scaling**

Introducing Willow, our new state-of-the-art quantum computing chip with a breakthrough that can reduce errors exponentially as we scale up using more qubits, cracking a 30-year challenge in the field. In benchmark tests, Willow solved a standard computation in <5 mins that would take a leading supercomputer over 10^25 years, far beyond the age of the universe(!).
@elonmusk Thanks for sharing my work! Here’s a higher-res copy of that composite at the end. I also have some higher resolution mobile wallpaper downloads on my website in my bio if anyone wants one!
